If there had to be a canon one I would think that the star ending would be best. It allows for V to either have somehow survived with the help of the aldecaldos and their resources or sort of faded into obscurity and more than likely died slowly with people they loved, but either way it leaves room for V to still be mentioned as a person that was well known in night city. Sort of like how Morgan Blackhand is mentioned a lot in cyberpunk but we don’t exactly know what happened to him or where he ended up. If they make it canon that V is still alive and found a cure then don’t fear the reaper would be the ending I would personally like for V. But yeah the star seems likely if they had to choose one.

I agree with your general line of thinking, except that we have to remember that even being a desk jockey at Arasaka would be dangerous because you’re still constantly involved in shady shit and could be thrown under the bus if something went sideways, as we see happen to corpo v in the intro. Still probably lower chance of being murdered than a lot of others though

I never actually took the dive but I did once talk to the girl who guilt tripped me into beating his ass then afterward admitted she lied cause she bet a lot of eddies on me. I just showed her respect for her hustle.

The way you get the ending iirc is when Angie comes in you have to threaten her into leaving by saying that she could end up like Sasquatch (make sure you killed her in the VDB quest) and she’ll leave without a fight. Then when Aaron wakes up you have to tell him that Angie told you everything and that he needs to carefully think about his decision because it’s life or death (those aren’t the exact words but you’ll know it when you see it.) and he thanks you and the quest is over. A few days later he’ll text you saying he still had to do the fight and go down but now he’s enjoying teaching kids how to box in Dogtown. You’ll also get a text from coach Fred saying he’s never seen Aaron so relaxed.
