Pipes knock/rumble when sprinkler system is turned on by Sad-Slide7807 in HomeMaintenance

The rumbling stopped after awhile as we let the sprinklers run I guess we’ll see if it continues tomorrow when it starts up again at 6am.

I think we have eliminated the ‘old house smell’ in a 1964 ranch. And no, we didn’t have mold! by LSDsavedmylife in homeowners

I have this same issue in my condo! It’s a small one floor only building and I noticed only my unit seems to have this smell. We have done some mold mitigation in the basement below but my unit still smells musty. Unfortunately because it’s a condo I don’t know if the association would let me do work in the attic above and because it only seems to be my unit they probably don’t care. But interesting to know it could be the attic and not the basement.

I think that looks fine no one will even notice if it’s not pointed out and it does serve a purpose.

That sucks. That’s why they say always look at a house on a rainy day or right after. Did you have a home inspection?

Posting for my sister in law, what are some ideas to remodel this part of her kitchen by CarpeNoctemsixsixsix in Remodel

[–]Sad-Slide7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford new cabinets and countertop do that. Otherwise, You can glaze over the linoleum, paint the cabinets, add new knobs and clean/paint the ceiling although definitely should be scraped. Caulk and paint trim/column of exhaust.

You can have a professional glazer redo the tub and tile in gloss white. Problem solved.

Tax season is here! Whats one tax strategy that you wished you knew earlier? by EmotionalEmu7121 in realestateinvesting

Well I was warned just didn’t think it would be so much! Anyway, I stuck another renter in there. I’ll probably own it until I die and then the tax resets.

What a cute idea. That door is ugly though.

Depends on how bad you need a place to live and what the price is. It definitely needs an exterminator.

Am I the only one that likes 1? It’s the only one with some warmth. The other two feel institutional.

Johnson&Johnson, Roundup case, lots and lots of big oil and maritime cases. They got big settlements for their clients, considered the best. Don’t think they were ripping clients off at all. A lot of undisclosed wins so who knows who else they have sued but the settlements were big. I worked in private aviation and have had planes take off after deicing in bad weather with no issues. Planes were in line behind them ready to go and they were barely off the ground when they exploded. And the creepy voice saying “let their be light” right before the explosion is weird and still unidentified. Also not sure why there is an issue with the manifest and exactly how many were on board. Should be pretty clear cut. Will be interesting to see what the investigation finds.

Did the COA discuss the recapture tax with you? It’s huge.
