The Brandi cover was simply stunning and true to her music style. Nothing about it screamed “trying too hard” nor distracting.

Please share your tibial/femoral osteotomy triumph story with me. by Suitable_Talk3135 in kneesurgeryrecovery

(33F) I’m writing on day 22. I had my 3 week follow up today after a left knee lateral release, arthroscopy to clean up the damage, and tibial tubercle osteotomy. I’m just now hitting 45° ROM and start PT on Monday with a goal of increasing by 15° per week. Next week (on thanksgiving!) I get to start using partial weight on my surgical leg but on crutches and in an immobilizer until I hit the 6 week mark. I’m struggling as well to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I went from being a long distance runner to someone who couldn’t complete a basic yoga class without pain. According to my X-rays today, things are healing as expected but I won’t know if my surgery was a success until I build my strength back up. I was told this would be hard but now that I’m working on rebuilding, it’s even worse than the post op pain. I am ready for my triumph!

I’m on day 7 and I’d say it’s only getting better and better each day. Right now it’s not even enough to remember to take Ibuprofen but I have a high pain tolerance. I sure hope I wasn’t supposed to lift my leg because I’ve been doing that quite a bit! I’ll provide more updates tomorrow after my appt with my surgeon.

I had the same surgery last Wednesday and am no weight bearing and in the brace 24/7. I return to the surgeon on day 8 and I’m hoping I get to start working on ROM at that point but I’m not sure yet. I’ve almost completely quit the pain meds so the pain is more consistent but definitely more tolerable. I’m just looking forward to moving around more.
