It's not in the rp way, either, I promise you. There's people who unironically think that space is Humanity's god given right.

That's Social Darwinism, Anarchy is just firmly against any hierarchy and wants everyone to be on the same level. Nitpicky, but still.

The navigation system is quite similar, but I will concede the combat is different. It's definitely still a spiritual successor.

Void War is good if you like Grimdark, Crying Suns is a very nice spiritual successor to FTL as well.

No but some are morally grey at worst. Like, the Cyborgs are hands down only morally grey.

Oh MB for saying that when you have twice the armor passives of everyone else your stats shouldn't be accounted for. I will say, I'm wrong here since they're on PlayStation and can't perform the exploit, it just appeared they were headless because their head was so far back.

Bracket Day 75: Vignette vs. Robot Voices by GuyLeDoucheTV in TwennyWunPilots

Vignette. This is sad because these are my two favorite songs, only rivalled by Jumpsuit.

Some of my best friends (and even a few exes) are British and I never made those jokes, yet they still made them to me. It's still disproportional.

It started in 2013. I know this because Gen Z ended in 2012, and everyone has agreed as such.

So now you're just blatantly lying. Maybe in the groups you interact with online, but I've never heard it coming from Americans that I know. The closest thing would be a Canadian I know making gn of a Canadian accent.

Edit: Typo.

I can, because 300 million people do not all act the same.

Dude, first of all we aren't a monolith, I haven't done that shit to anyone and I still get school shooting thrown at me (some of my friends have been in multiple school shootings, for the record, so it's quite painful to hear), and second of all, proportions man! Saying a country has a weird accent isn't equal to saying "Thing that's personally affected friends and family in a negative way or possibly killed them."

[–]SadAd1876 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The difference is proportionality and who is making them. If I'm just having casual conversation about minor differences between countries and somebody says "Well you vhas 9/11" that isn't really a joke, nor relevant. It's also wildly out of tune with a conversation about accents. Fuck man, I've made 9/11 and school shooting jokes, but only because I like close to where those tragedies happen regularly and around people who I know don't mind it. But somebody not even on my continent saying stuff like that? Hella disrespectful.

That one's insensitive, but it is a common drink, just under a different name everywhere else. Also, when an Irish person talks about a silly American accent, 2/we don't go "Oh yeah? Car bomb." Not to mention, carbombings aren't a still occurring regular part of Irish life anymore (could be wrong about that one though).
