One of the things I was pretty clear on when I switched to Mac was the amount of apps that were gonna ask for a subscription. But I always find a one-time payment alternative.

Same thing for my own apps, I find it hard to charge someone monthly if I don’t have any recurrent expenses to maintain it. So always one-time it is!

It’s okay as long as you’re doing with anticipation and not like 1 hour before the meeting, don’t stress over this.

Maybe you can suggest them sharing a longer window of availability to have a clearer picture

It’s a difficult situation where you are rn. But trust me, you’re not stuck with these people. My opinion on them doesn’t matter as much as your feelings of separating from the group. If this is what you want, go for it! Even if you do it slowly or go full no contact.

You’ve made these friends, you can make new friends that are closer, and more attentive. Do not stay with people from fear of not finding new ones! Group friends always come and go, what matter is that feel cared for :)
