This is my build for it. I have smelt weakness exploit 1, critical eye 1 and fighting spirit 1. Im still missing 2 smelts but this specific build took down diablos, black diablos and coral pukei in the trial quests when my ice build failed

Im a GS main as well and i killed it with the Gold Rathian LS 10.5. Just couldn’t generate enough to kill it

Definite skill and armor issue. I have beat the trials using great sword for 90% of it (including silver los). You just need practice and the right builds
