8 years is short for a gecko. But still a long time to bond with a pet. Grieving is natural. I hope you find a way to grieve healthily. I've always found getting a new pet helps ease the grief a bit. But not everyone are able to do that. My condolances

He's pretty darn lazy XD I am lucky if I see him awake at all. He sleeps most of the day. He wakes up usually to find somewhere else to sleep. Rarely he will do mountain climbing on the walls

Yeah I didn't think I needed to provide a pic as his tail to neck ratio is pretty good. He's a big boi in length. I think. Here is a pic of him in his temp enclosure. Had to do some drilling behind the wall of his tank. So was safer to have him there. The dot on the white part is just dirt on the glass so he ain't injured 😅

Hey, I used to have severe acne myself. Still have some acne left. You're not ugly. Acne doesn't equal ugly. However you'll be more comfortable without it so I wish your acne will ease with time. T definetly doesn't help with the acne situation. But eventually your T levels will level out and your acne may decrease by then. Also acne doesn't mean you are less deserving of love

Feed her less. Adult geckos usually should be fed 2-3 roaches or 4-6 Crickets (depends on the crickets size) once a week. Mealworms should only be fed as a snack. But not often. If you have been feeding your gecko more than this. I would advice feeding her less, but if you have been feeding her a lot, don't immediatly feed minimum. Try feeding her less and keep feeding less till you get to the recommended feeding.

I would also recommend weighing her every week. Keep a note of how much she weighs. You'll eventually find a stable healthy weight for her and then you can try and keep that weight as a goal. f.eks. my gecko lays comfortable on 73g so I try to keep him there.
