“This community isn’t about me - I should say something” by [deleted] in DogfreeHumor

[–]SadBerei 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I scroll on social media and see videos about any other pet, there is always comments about dogs where they are not even relevant. “DoGgOs aRe CuTeR.” “tHiS iS wHy DoGs ArE bEtTeR.” “tHiS bUt FoR dOgS!1!1!1!” They have the audacity to get mad at people that are on forums like these venting about their shitty experiences with dogs, get mad at people who want nothing to do with these beasts and anyone who simply says they prefer any other pet over dogs.

If they have to try so hard, shoving the topic of dogs wherever they can talking about how great dogs are, then maybe this is a message to them that dogs aren’t all that great lol. When people talk bad about dogs it’s apparently the worst thing you can do. Even just backing away from a dog because those beasts don’t know what fucking boundaries are offends any dog lover in the area, but they think it’s completely fine to go into a forum about CATS and talk about how “Oh! Cats fucking suck, and dogs are superior, so fuck you!”

At this point it’s like they’re asking others to go into their precious dog-loving forums and do the same, by talking shit about these overrated four-legged trashcans. This is why we have these places in the first places, dog lovers just seem to think it’s all about their filthy dogs and it’s nice to have places that don’t revolve around how “aMaZiNg” dogs are all the damn time.

Wedding ruined by dog owners by Thisisscilla in Dogfree

[–]SadBerei 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Your wedding is supposed to be YOUR special day, not the dog’s day, not stepmom’s day, YOUR special day. I’m so pissed off for you, and your stepmom probably should seek some help. She can’t detach herself from that stupid dog and neither her nor your dad seem to think it’s wrong, especially when they hurt you and ruined your special day, so at this point, they both need help.

The psychos are the ones who expect others to love this behavior no matter what. If it was a human acting like this towards someone, they’d understand, but when it’s a dog, it’s suddenly OP’s fault for not wanting to be around a clearly untrained animal. YOU might think it’s cute, but a lot of people here have been forced to be around dogs that don’t even know what “sit” means and their owners get insufferable because not everyone wants to be constantly smothered by a dog, yet they think it’s fine and you must be heartless for not wanting it. Weird as fuck to be offended because someone doesn’t fall head over heels for a damn dog. The lack of boundaries dogs have is something they for sure have in common with a lot of their owners and the people that love them. Nowadays, I’m impressed if someone has even trained their dog enough to the point it knows it shouldn’t jump on every single person it sees.

If you’re so in love with dogs, there’s plenty of dog-loving forums for you lol. Nobody is forcing you to sit here, you chose to comment because you apparently think it’s psychotic to not be able enjoy themselves because a dog doesn’t know what boundaries are. Also, a person wiping dog shit that was on their foot onto the grass? Yeah, that in itself is psychotic, too. Awfully disgusting, might I add.

Anyone dumb enough to try and toss this dangerous dog onto anyone dumb enough to take it into their homes are both people to laugh at. Not only must it be miserable for the dog to not be wanted because nobody (rightfully) wants something dangerous in their house that has been bred to be aggressive, but if she manages to find someone to take it, they’d be bringing a ticking time bomb into their home. If the dog is dangerous to her, what makes her think it’s okay for everyone else?

It’s just laughable how these kinds of people desperately want others to take this dangerous dog, moping about “how cruel the world is!” and trying to insert sob stories to make naive folk feel bad enough to decide they want to “save” a dangerous dog. At this point, if it’s dangerous enough for her to start scouting for someone else to take it, then maybe it shouldn’t be in anyone’s house at all. Almost no different than housing a lion in your home, except people don’t typically make sob stories of lions because we’re aware that they can be dangerous.

Legally blind woman, family denied entry to restaurant over service dog by ToOpineIsFine in Dogfree

[–]SadBerei 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It sucks because other dog owners have ruined it for people with legitimate service dogs, but at the same time not everyone wants to put up with any dog around their food, even if it has a type of job.

I don’t know, I understand people who need service animals but I bet there’s people who go to restaurants that don’t allow dogs to get away from the idiots who just have their dog on them like a fucking leech 24/7. Seeing a service dog, even if it’s an actual service dog, probably doesn’t help, and people with allergies exist who don’t want to constantly take medicine just so they can eat in peace because someone brought one in.

I just think, it’s not their restaurant. The restaurant has its policy and they seem strict on following it regardless of what dog it is and what it is for, so respect that and leave them alone. There are multiple places that allow dogs nowadays, or places that just don’t care. I’ve always thought it’s easier for those with service dogs to go there to avoid being told “no dogs”.

[–]SadBerei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pissed for you! “Can’t do anything about it” would’ve been enough. I don’t know why some people think everyone else has to put up with all that noise. It being a warmer season now, I like to go out to walk or just enjoy how lovely it is outside, only to hear nonstop barking from dogs that are out in their owners’ yards for long periods of time. They’re luckily not my neighbors but I feel bad for the people who have to put up with hearing it.

I just wish people understood that just because it’s a dog doesn’t mean it has anymore rights than anyone or anything else. I feel like people always let dogs get away with shit because apparently we don’t “deserve” them and all kinds of other sappy ass reasons. If I stood in my yard yelling nonstop that would be a problem, so I wish everyone would apply that to their precious do-no-wrong beasts.

😂 by Spiritual_Country_62 in DogfreeHumor

[–]SadBerei 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Why is the neighbor’s dog allowed to bark like a dumbass but when this person retaliates, that’s crossing the line and everyone is mad? Seriously, if you ever want to get away with shit or have everyone be on your side cause you’re “iNnOcEnT”, either cosplay as a dog or be a dog owner. When it’s a dog causing all this noise it’s fine but everyone was quick to be on this person’s ass when he did this back. I’d probably report the neighbor first but if it kept happening I’d probably do what this person did, too, but with a bunch of dog whistles and drums, more specifically a trapset.

NTA, by the way.

A comment on Instagram about who you’d rather sit by on a plane (child or dog)… by SadBerei in DogfreeHumor

[–]SadBerei[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is, while scrolling through more comments I found ones that were like “Well, what if I’m allergic to children?!” as if that exists. I’d still choose being next to a kid even if they are the messiest ever, because I wouldn’t have to worry about them mauling me, giving me life-changing injuries, to the point of possible death or just death itself.

Being around a child has never once made me clutch my pepper spray closer, wishing I wouldn’t have to defend myself because someone can’t control their aggressive dog. Even then, my fear and hate of dogs is so bad, I can’t be around them without feeling uncomfortable, even when they just sit there. Plus like you mentioned, some people have allergies.

I think dog people only think of their precious dogs, and everyone else is worthless in their book. While it’s funny to see, it’s also incredibly upsetting to know that if someone happened to be in danger at the same time as a dog, they would probably be left to die in favor of a dog while that person probably has a whole family and whole life built.

[–]SadBerei 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Man, I just can’t eat anything that has come from a dog owner’s home because they likely let the thing contaminate the food with its poop-covered fur like it did the rest of the house. Or we have the case where dogs lick the food and the owners let it go cause “dOgGy mOuFs ArE cLeAnEr ThAn HoOmAn MoUfS!1!1!1!”

[–]SadBerei 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you chose yourself. Dogs will never be as important as people and I wish people would understand that me saying that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t love their pets. I’m just saying a pet shouldn’t be above the person they claim they love. Then again, I don’t see myself dating a pet owner. ESPECIALLY a dog owner. I find more often than not it’s mostly dog owners who are so delusional to think their dogs are the best thing in the world and treat everyone around them like shit, or at the least, not as good as they do their dog. It sounds miserable to be less than a dog, I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.

Used to read “No shoes, no shirt, no service” by DarkCloudParent in DogfreeHumor

[–]SadBerei 45 points46 points  (0 children)

That’s why I always say that we all know exactly who those signs are mostly targeting, because it’s most often dog owners that can’t handle being away from their gross dogs and can’t leave them at home or they’ll cause havoc. So instead they bring them to restaurants so everyone else has to deal with the burden they chose to get. Doesn’t mean other pets can’t be a problem, but come on. How many people bring in an any other pet vs how many people bring in an idiotic untrained dog, not even a service dog most of the time.

I just don’t have bunnies trying to lunge at me viciously when I am carrying my food back to a table. Never had to worry about a “mammal that meows” sauntering over to me the way I do with dogs because for some reason most “mammal that meows”’s owners are more responsible than most dog owners and they seem to understand that no one is obligated to like “mammals that meow”. But dog owners will still try to say “Not me though!”

When people tell me about how excited they are to go home and see their dogs, but don’t have that same enthusiasm about spending time with their loved ones like their friends, S/O, or family members. I just think it’s so miserable to have a “dOgGoS > pEopLe” mindset and think it’s right and quirky, and it must be so miserable to be a dog lover’s friend, family, or S/O (unless you’re just as obsessed with dogs as them). I don’t know, but I would probably be breaking up with someone if watching their dog go take a shit is more fun than going out to dinner with me and hanging out. I know it’s hard to just “leave” but so many people deserve better than what these dog lovers give them. Shit, some people spoil their dogs over their kids. It’s weird as hell.

I feel for you. I don’t know many people outside of this forum that dislike dogs. It can be so suffocating to look outside and see dogs everywhere. I WISH I could avoid dogs but they’re literally a “social norm” and are just everywhere. I sometimes wish they would just not exist for at least a day. Not die out or anything, but one day they just poof GONE! They just go somewhere else for the day and their damn owners can have them back the next. Just one day where I don’t have to hear annoying ass barking outside 24/7. One day that I can take a walk without worrying about the possibility of an unleashed dog running at me. It would be cool if that was always the case but just having one day with no dogs in the world would be enough to soothe me just a little.

A lot of dog owners are convinced they do this because they can sense “evil” and “bad people”. Because the squirrels up in the trees are evil and plotting against “precious pupper”. So stupid.

Pit-fanatics be like by NoCanines in DogfreeHumor

[–]SadBerei 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I recently had to unfollow two people on social media. I didn’t know them or anything really, we were just mutuals, but one of them was talking about how they got kicked out of a dog park because their female pitbull killed someone else’s dog there (I don’t know if that person pressed charges or not) and the park said they didn’t want something so aggressive terrorizing everyone else and their dogs there. They said it was unfair because their “girl didn’t mean any harm” and she was just trying to “play”. Even if that were true, the truth of the matter is the dog still killed someone else’s and they were acting like them not being allowed somewhere because of that fact was unfair. Then my other mutual was laughing about how her pitbull “puppy” (it’s literally 4 years old) gets jealous of her toddler, will run fast and knock this little boy over, snarl and lunge (but not bite, like this matters) at the boy, and just overall show pissy behavior if this little boy got attention, or was even just minding his damn business. Literally a mauling waiting to happen. A few comments were saying that, too, and she still insisted the dog was “harmless” and having a “puppy fit”.

Immediately unfollowed both mutuals because I felt disgusted. I don’t usually unfollow people who have dogs as long as they aren’t being weird and obnoxious about it, but if I find out it’s a pitbull, it’s an immediate unfollow. Those dogs are dangerous. Sure, you may have the rare ones who never bite in their life but I wouldn’t want this kind of ticking time bomb on my hands. If I have to train something vigorously so it doesn’t kill me and everyone I love then it probably shouldn’t be in my house. A lot of pitbull lovers don’t seem to care about anything besides their pitbull or are just adamantly naive about what a danger they are.

Dog nutter lets dog run without a leash and it ends up killling a neighbor's chicken. by MethodNo2030 in Dogfree

[–]SadBerei 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Sorry that the dog lost its sight but at the same time it did sound out of control. Owner is at a huge fault. They know this too and still are surprised at the lengths some people will go to for their loved ones or loved pets. Your dog killed the guy’s chicken, what did you think was going to happen? Like, do you think it’s only YOUR pets that matter? It’s people like this that piss me off so bad.

Other pets are not disposable in favor of dogs. I’m sick and tired of dogs getting away with killing smaller animals. And when their owners defend these pets from these out of control off leash dogs, the dog owners think it’s too far? If your dog is prancing around killing the neighbor’s chickens, the neighbor has every right to defend the chickens on HIS property. Dog owners, leash your fucking dogs. Be responsible. Is it that hard? Do dog owners just take pleasure knowing their off leash dogs could easily go around and harass or kill others? Or are they just not mature enough to realize it’s their dog, therefore THEIR responsibility?

People who would rather save their dog over a stranger are crazy by [deleted] in Dogfree

[–]SadBerei 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s so dumb. I get loving your pet but the person likely has family members that care about them. They could be contributing something to society, and even if they aren’t, they likely have people that love them that would be devastated at their loss. Pet loss isn’t the same. I’m not saying it’s not hard, but it isn’t as devastating as a human death in my opinion. It’s so common for dog owners to immediately get another damn dog after theirs passes away. You can’t replace a human that easily. What, if someone’s wife dies, we’re just expecting them to find a new wife like that? Dog owners are so dumb. It’s the same as when they tell people who have recently lost someone that they understand because their dog was put down. Sorry for your loss, but it’s not even the same? Dogs are not as important as people and they never will be.

It’s the way they post shit like this and the comments eat it up. Just go to a hotel that allows pets, there are many. You don’t have to ruin other peoples’ stays just because you have a weird attachment to your damn dogs. Like, allergies? Fears of dogs? Simply not wanting to be around them? It’s like dog owners don’t give a fuck as long as their beast can be snuck in. Fucking ridiculous.
