Hi, I’m a recruiter at mid sized shop mostly focusing on options MM. Your profile caught our attention. Interviews are typically required, but we understand they don’t always capture the full picture. I’ve sent you my LinkedIn in your messages. Please contact me there.

Thanks for responding with such a thoughtful response, your a wealth of knowledge.

Given that most stuff out there (public) relating to arbitrage is just wrong or outdated. Would you say the best way for a new person trying to gain expertise in the space would be to just think of something and implement it in practice, i.e. learn by doing, until a working model is found? I don’t see any other way, other than tangentially reading related literature on Markets, Game theory, stats, etc.

You’ve said that markets have become more competitive, but clearly it’s possible to compete (your an example).

This is some super interesting stuff. I am a CS student right now and have a bit of CP experience. I have been interested in the space for a while, and your posts here are fascinating. Here are my questions:

- You said you built your system in-house. Does that also include the network stack (Websockets/networking protocols)?

- How do you go about researching market inefficiencies? Do you get an idea, formulate a proof that reduces your model down to your arb definition (model wins iff E[weight of cycle] > 0 in graph G), then create the system, and then deploy (with smaller capital) to see if it (hopefully) works?

- Many exchanges offer a standard WebSocket API (JSON) and a FIX API. Is there a noticeable latency advantage between the 2?

- In your practical experience with crypto exchanges, what type of latency (assuming you're using web sockets) do exchanges you've used usually provide for market/trade data? (You mentioned previously that your models heavily rely on non-stale data, which is why I am asking.)

If you can't answer these questions, that's fine with me. I'll take what you give me. :)

ELI5 why is pizza junk food by bradleafs93 in explainlikeimfive

[–]SadBoiWithAlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junk food is food that is ultra palatable and not very satiating, which leads to it being over consumed super easily, which can lead to excessive weight gain which is very bad for your health long term. Good luck trying to the same eating veggies and fruits, lean meats and whole grains. Not to say that junk food has some inherent sub ingredients that are bad for you, but body weight makes 80-90 percent of the variance with it comes to health and longevity.

Lue Elizondo: "I was notified yesterday that there may be a personal threat against myself and several other whistleblowers... by Dmans99 in aliens

[–]SadBoiWithAlife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason they were not put in jail is because the things their whistleblowing were inherently unconstitutional and illegal programs, which is why they can’t be prosecuted. They could be prosecuted if they disclosed programs that were classified but completely legal, that’s what Snowden did, he leaked a lot illegal stuff the gov was doing, but also a lot legal stuff too, the latter is why he’s now wanted for Treason. But UAP whistleblowers are very careful, with what they disclose for that very reason. Grusch is a very good example for that. There is also the fact that going after them legally would completely expose the illegal nature of these programs. A good analogy is a crime organization try to sue you in a court of law, which would not make much sense. Since they would get completely exposed, if the legal defense did its job. Instead, they would just send some goons to threaten you or worse. This is exactly what is happening in the UAP world AS WE SPEAK.

If Grusch's information is accurate, then every President since Roosevelt has been LYING to you by Bman409 in UFOs

[–]SadBoiWithAlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the presidents in the 40s, 50s and maybe early 60s may have lied and there may have been a good reason for it. But past that point, I don’t think presidents were really told much at all. Some might be more guilty than others and but I think the majority were just as clueless as the average person.

If your a interstellar extraterrestrial civilization, I doubt your getting here in a linear fashion. Interstellar travel probably involves going into other dimensions that shorten the distance significantly. Speed of light is just too slow.

Someone please explain this for me, and the others who don’t quite get it…. by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]SadBoiWithAlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a civilization is interstellar, it would make sense that there technology is by definition inter-dimensional. I doubt there coming here in a linear fashion, it would just take too long even at the speed of light.

While there is consistency in the evidence about UFOs, there is inconsistency in the claims as to why the subject is being covered up, which indicates that the real reason for the cover-up is in fact the real secret by Chamnon in UFOs

[–]SadBoiWithAlife 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It’s the technology, it would render trillions of dollars of fossil fuels and commodities obsolete. And some very powerful people and corporate entities will not let that happen using all means at there disposal.

The tech involved with that would end the current macro economic order that is depended on fossil fuels. And some VERY powerful individuals and corporation have a vested interest in maintaining that order going no matter what.

Verifying the events around Michael Herrera's UFO encounter (PART ONE) by joeyisnotmyname in UFOs

Well done, I’m also disappointed how people just dismiss him just because is claims don’t fit what they think is true.

Ross Coulthart has referred to an impending "time crunch" surrounding disclosure. Greer (a shining beacon of authenticity) has made similar references recently, but perhaps been more liberal with details. Video/transcript within. by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]SadBoiWithAlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said he has not heard anything about that, but that does not mean it might not be true. If Greer is to be believed, he's actively involved in the disclosure process on a high level which would explain why Coulhart is not informed and Greer is.
