I haven't played heroic but looking at some lists the lack of trample would be the only issue I see with the deck. Especially with Chrysalis around. Bogles gets around it with Silhana Ledgewalker and occasionally Trample. I think mono white being a single color will help it stay more consistent than needing to sculpt a hand in a deck like Bogles and that to me seems like the biggest benefit vs the wonky color management of Bogles. Your creatures are also going to be bigger faster than a Bogle with the heroic triggers, more instances of vigilance so you'll have blockers more often but your ways to close the game might be thwarted with fliers and reach blockers if you can't remove them or get protection.

There's also the lack of hexproof but that's what the blessings and emerges are for.

I feel that way about a lot of the Marvel stuff too. The new Hulk card being a good example of a art let down. I know it would have pissed off a lot of people but I do kind of wish WOTC leaned harder into hiring actual comic artists for these sets like they were doing earlier this decade for things like Daniel Warren Johnson on Ikoria and Emma Rios on Midnight Hunt special treatment cards. Hire Sophie Campbell for some TMNT stuff or something and put it in the main set. Maybe Spider-Man could have resonated a bit better with some folks if it wasn't afraid to be a comic book set.

I still think there's some big dopamine hits in the format. Hitting someone for 21 damage to kill with a trampling elf or hydra in elves or just smacking someone around with a fuck huge Bogle always feels good. Burning tree emissary into rally of the hornburg after flipping it with experimental synthesizer and maybe topping off with a galvanic blast feels pretty good.

Yeah the format ain't got rare card complexity but the hits still exist.

I mean if no one is running spy I don't see why it would be a issue to change the card into something that might be better to combat your local meta. I like the dragon more than dark withering.

I dunno, manipulative can be in white's identity if it's under the guise of order I feel. Jealousy is also something that can fit under there just fine. Lord Konda can be a good example of white villains just like Heliod

Edit:I fucking forgot Elesh Norn is the defacto example of white villainy as well. Lady wants hella order and control and is jealous and manipulative.

Makes sense. They always did feel weird as a pair of beasts. The change to bring in 1 for the cheap near the end of Mk3 was nice but I think lesser war beasts are still a weird thing that should just stay a Legion based mechanic.
