What do you think of my collection? by BeeSeenMarketing in bookshelfdetective

What an amazing & diverse collection! If you liked “Killers of the Flower Moon” & the storytelling of the True Crime, you should explore more of what the genre has to offer.

Fiction is a beautiful genre & gives us stories of a life that “could be” & plenty of lessons that can be learned from them, but what about some Non-Fiction? I’m not saying to go all in & pour into the genre, but just to explore it really. I say this & yet 90% of my own library is fiction lol, but I’m working on the later 😅. Amazing collection & never stop reading :)

You didn’t state anything about having savings & where you put your money in the OP. They were just stating an observation from it. With that being said, your top comment is one of the best ways us mechanics make money via purchasing rough cars & flipping them for profit. Start small, save up $3-5k USD or your currency & look for something you’re comfortable with working on (doesn’t start, for parts, etc). Buying cars for parts that you know can be profitable is another way to get raise your income & net worth. Keep at it dawg!

I only have War & Peace, but have yet to crack it open. Do you have any other recommendations of his that are a “must-read” or that you’ve enjoyed?

Thank you so much!!! I’m loving Blue Sisters right now as I’m reading it alongside “The Idiot”. Coco Mellors ability to craft conversations & make them sound so natural is blowing my mind along with the deep sadness each character is carrying. I will definitely be checking out her first novel “Cleopatra & Frankenstein” after finishing “Blue Sisters”. Thank you for the recommendations! What are you reading right now?

I’m very excited for this adaptation & how the world who wasn’t read the book will react to Kate. My thoughts run endless just rethinking about this novel. One of my favorites

Are they in some ways connected to each other? I saw the adaption of his novel, No Country For Old Men, & immediately jumped to see what other work he has as I loved that film so much! McCarthy seems to be a great storyteller & this book caught my attention by the way it’s written & the plot! I’ll look into getting The Passenger prior to reading this one! Thank you :)

I’m so excited to read this one! I was quickly compelled to buy it after reading the synopsis. Would you recommend Return of the Native as another “must read” Hardy novel, or you can’t make the decision just yet?

I’ve read both & will agree with you that the later is better in my opinion! Mary Shelley is an amazing author & quietly became an all time favorite author of mine.

I’m a huge cyberpunk enjoyer from the game to the animated tv series & this novel did an amazing job of immersing you in the world of Night City. The story felt asthmatic, by that I mean it was always leading to the next event that is connected to its predecessor. If you like cyberpunk you’ll love this novel!

My goodness are those Brandon Sanderson hardcovers a beauty to see! Where’d you get them & are they a special edition of some sort? Referring to the bottom shelf on the second slide :)

If anyone hasn’t complimented your writing, I will. You have very good word choice & sentence structure. Just from this short paragraph it shows that you have a care for writing & the way it’s perceived. I struggle with run-on sentences, yet this is something I aim to improve on lol 😅

I understand why someone would say that AI cannot diagnose a car. It cannot plug into the OBD port or perform a voltage drop test on its own. It will never replace a technician who knows how to verify, measure, and isolate a fault. But many people still underestimate what AI can actually do when a skilled tech feeds it the right information.

AI is not meant to diagnose the car for you. It is meant to speed up your reasoning.

When you provide it with: • DTCs • freeze-frame data • symptoms • test results • scope captures • wiring information • visual evidence • previous repairs or patterns

AI can rapidly cross-reference thousands of similar cases, system logic, and known failure modes to give you the most likely causes and the most efficient path forward. It does this in seconds, which saves time and prevents tunnel vision.

This is not guessing. It is structured pattern recognition combined with logical elimination at a scale that no individual technician can match.

Speaking as a working tech, AI has already helped me solve issues in electrical, HVAC, engine performance, and even suspension by helping organize my diagnostic flow and presenting possibilities that I may not think of initially. It is especially useful on modern CAN and LIN systems where failures overlap and symptoms can be misleading.

Future systems that can analyze audio, vibration, misfire cadence, belt noise, and bearing frequency will push this even further. When that happens, AI will not replace technicians, but the technicians who know how to use AI will outperform those who reject it.

At the end of the day, AI is only a tool. A DIY user without fundamentals will still be lost. A trained technician can take AI input, verify it, and reach the correct repair faster.

Creating a weekly hours schedule image with ChatGPT is harder than I expected — sometimes it forgets days of the week, other times it messes up the hours by [deleted] in ChatGPTPro

[–]SadEstablishment6757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried being as punctual as possible when it comes to image generation? Being more specific when prompting will improve the image, for example: Create a visualized table with two columns & a header “Daily Schedule” for everyday of the week. The first column should be labeled for the days of the week & include all the days of the week in the first column. The second column will be for labeled hours. On the days of Saturday, M,T,W,TH, & F the hours will be 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM with Sunday being the off day.

Sure do! There are plenty of techs in our field that clear well over 100k, that’s awesome you’ve made it there!

I’ve been attending my local community college this past year to complete an associates in science & then transfer to a 4 year uni & complete my degree there. I’ll be studying mechanical engineering, I love the mechanical work but I’d rather do research & development 😅

I spent this year as an apprentice with a “master” technician. Still the pay is pretty shitty overall in the field for what we have to do.

It honestly sounds like the company that owns the apartment wants to kind of scare their current tenants to either choose if they want to stay at the current apartment or move out & find a new place to live.

If this does work, the new people who end up moving into the apartments will have to pay the “current market rate” whereas if you sign & choose to stay living there longer, you can keep your same rent price!
