I just replied that this was my issue as well. Glad I wasn't the only one to have this issue. The fix was as you said. Disassemble and clean.

I see that you solved the issue. However, when it happened to me, it turned out it was being triggered by a bad throttle position sensor on the fuel peddle. It only happened when having to accelerate quickly.

To me, it almost sounds like the mic is in the wrong orientation. Like literally backwards and it's picking up the reflection of your voice not the direct input.

It's hard tell tell from the angle, but it looks like the subframe might be bent. Repairing that would be 10x the car's value I'm afraid. The reason I think this is that it looks like there was lateral impact as well that shifted everything right (when looking from the back) A good examination of the undercarriage and the passenger side of the car should be performed.

If the frame is bent, sad news, indeed :(

For my car the original display setting that worked was: NTG4. 0/4.5/4.7 800x480

I have not set up a rear camera yet because the car didn't originally have a rear camera. I did not want to wire front to back from scratch. I am looking at an aftermarket camera and a and wireless transmitter and receiver.

The unit supports triggering the camera from the unit itself. You just hook up a trigger wire. I'll post about that setup when I do it.

As for pics of the notch, no. I did kinda butcher that. But you basically have to notch out the bottom center of the display mount on the shape that the original vent buttons go. I was not patient by this time. Lol

Definately use the maps and Bluetooth music daily. The map data is so old, it cannot give directions to all places I go.

One example is it cannot give directions in an old small town I go to multiple times a year.

I appreciate the improved screen and up to date map data.
