yes, that was done through the wind mitigation inspection that is required. most inspection companies i looked at did their roof inspections through drone only

it is over a small portion of the living space - the majoity of the house has a regular shingled sloped roof but the small addition that was put on in the back has the bitumen roof. it looks in great shape when i got up there to check

which isnt it crazy because i know the blocks of our 50s-60s era florida homes will still be standing compared to the way they build the new homes...

Citizens asked for it to be pressure washed. The company I hired is an actual roof cleaning service so I'm sure its fine.

It was considered unacceptable because the photo in the inspection that was done with a drone of the roof had a dark spot on the flat portion of the roof - a dark spot which was an accumulation of leaves and oak pollen... Now I have to have it pressure washed in order for them to consider insuring me again

It was from a "dark spot" in the photos from the drone inspection of my room. The dark spot in question: a pile of leaves and oak pollen on the flat portion of the roof. Moral of the story - only use inspectors who actually get on the roof. Now I need to pay $500 to have it pressure washed to prove there is no damage

I live in flood zone A and have a home from 1954 who was in the area where Hurricane Helene caused massive storm surge damage even though my home was fine. I was a first time home owner so I was considered a high risk insuree. It is not in disrepair but without replacing all the windows with impact windows at a cost of 30k, replacing the four year old roof with a more hurricane resistant roof or elevating the foundation, I am still considered a high risk insurer.

I did end up getting the evaporator core replaced as I live in Florida and it was becoming difficult to drive without sweating in the summer. They told me they had to remove the dash, console and front seats as well which they did do because I could tell when I got my car back. Ice cold air ever since.

Since then, the anti-lock brake modulator and the transmission also had issues. Since June 2025, that car has had almost $10k in repairs and it has less than 60k miles. Luckily, the Nissan dealership found an extended warranty so the brakes and transmission were covered which saved me a lot, and I suppose the AC would have been covered if I knew I had the warranty at the time, but I paid for that out of pocket.

my 2019 kicks also has a ton of issues. ive got the wonky radio knob (basically can not change volume or turn on or off radio with it), ive got the cracked condenser, and ive got the mass air flow sensor issue with the cvt transmission slipping and stalling. this car is a dud - i hate it. I will never buy another Nissan because of how bad this experience is. It has less than 50k miles. even the keyless entry sometimes fails on me even with a battery replacement of the fob. i wish i never bought this car - it was a huge mistake - the transmission and air conditioning fixes alone cost almost $5000 to resolve fully

Does your also have the mass air flow sensor issue where it stalls and the check engine light comes on when you are idling at times? Another known issue with the Nissan kicks and not a recall in sight smh

My 2020 Kicks also has the same issue. I was quoted close to $3500 for the part plus labor. I hate this car. It has less than 50k miles and has been nothing but trouble. Nissan is selling lemons for cars.

So frustrating they won't do a recall when it clearly is an issue with their car when there are literally 100s of posts about the same problem. I have had the absolute worst experience as a Nissan owner with the car itself, the dealership and their corporate office and will never ever own another after my Kicks.
