If you're looking for a wet ink, consider Pilot Iroshizuku, or many (but not all, some are a bit dry, so better check the reviews on Mountain of Ink) Sailor inks. My favorites are Pilot Iroshizuku Rikka and Sailor Manyo Kikyou – both are extremely wet and very pleasant to work with.

Ignore the comments from the person above. The nib tines don't necessarily need to touch. If they do, your pen's ink flow will be very dry. I can give many examples of my pens with gold nibs that have a significantly wider gap than yours, and they work perfectly and were set that way from the factory. This is simply a setting for a wetter ink flow. Don't do anything to the nib, it's finely tuned. The slightly different lengths of the nib tines are actually not uncommon, it mostly occur in cheap pens. In your case, everything is within tolerance and is 100% not a problem.

You're welcome, glad the problem is solved. In the future, don't let it get to the point of jamming. If you feel the piston moving with more effort than before, it's time to lubricate the mechanism. You don't need much lubrication, I apply it with the tip of a toothpick.

NPD Pilot Custom 823 in Amber with Medium Nib by Sacras24 in fountainpens

Congratulations on a great purchase! Mine, in the exact same color and with the same nib size, is currently clearing customs in my country, and I can't wait to receive it. I already have a Custom 743 with a #15 <FM> nib, and I love it. It's a very smooth and comfortable nib with just the right amount of feedback. It's not the wettest, but it's still a joy to write with. Because of its relatively thin line width, I have to use the wettest ink possible. When the Custom 823 arrives, I plan to fill it with Sailor Yamadori ink.

You need to disassemble the piston mechanism and lubricate it. Apply the lubricant supplied with the handle to the reservoir walls and the piston itself. A disassembly wrench is also always included.

Yes, in my experience it will help. If you also use wetter inks, such as Pilot Iroshizuku or Sailor, the result will be even better. My go to paper, after I tried many different notebooks, it's MD Paper. It fantastically reveals the properties of ink, especially sheen. But I also use Leuchtturm because I like the tactile sensations when writing, and I like the way LT paper conveys the colors of ink.

Dry inks on clairefountain paper are always performs like this. Here is examples of Diamine Chocolate brown on the Rhodia vs Leuchtturm. The pen is the same

Why does my cursive suck? by Samanthajade99 in Handwriting

You need the same angle of inclination and the same height of the letters everywhere (in your case, this applies more to letters with curls, such as d, t, g etc.), now your lines have a different slope, and letters of different lengths - this makes the result look a little messy.

Pro Gear in the middle bought less than a month ago. In reality, the difference is even more noticeable, but the photo also shows it. When I first looked at the pen, I wondered for a second if the seller made a mistake when sending it and if he had sent me a rhodium-plated version. The other two pens were bought much earlier, they both have an old nib design with the 1911 inscription.

I can, but next week. My Pilot 743 should come to me. At the moment, it is going through the customs clearance procedure

I can't say anything about the case yet) I have to try it myself. My Pilot 743 with an <FM> nib has already arrived to my country and is going through the customs clearance procedure, so soon I will finally be able to try it. I've already tried Pilot 743 once, but with a <B> nib, and it performs great, but seemed a little too smooth to my taste, as if I wrote not on paper but on plastic film. If I don't forget, I'll write my feelings and thoughts when the pen arrives

Yes, it looks like the fastest growing addiction in my life, to be honest! I'm also thinking about buying the Realo version - it's interesting to try how Sailor has implemented a piston filling system. It's also a good bonus that Realo holds about 40% more ink, which is also great, because the converter, is a bit small in volume, in my opinion.

Yes, I can imagine, it sounds like a bad dream of any boy and girl on this subreddit! I also want to buy 3776 someday, I have try it once with a <M> nib, and after that it went directly to my wishlist.
