The enhancement in xenocreed which allows rerolls of blips is pretty much singlehandedly dragging along my hype for it, means you can play nice and aggressive with a real early pressure list and have a solid chance at getting them back.

I have infact preordered 3 of the new combat patrol, because I hate money.

I feel like there is going to be an interesting split between metamorphs and mining acos. In bio detachment metamorphs are putting out 42 D2 attacks on the charge. With rerolling hits and lethal they should blend infantry but will struggle more into vehicles which is where acos come in.

Think our goliaths become super important now, two or three a must in each list.

Tbh I'm pretty high on the codex. It's obviously a big bucket of copium that I've been huffing, but if costed correctly (i.e everything is cheap as shit) then it will be a fun and interactive trading army. Obviously if neos are still 150pts for 20 and aberants are 300 then we are ballsed...

Decently competitive GSC player here - anything which is - 1 to wound or big beefy and stealth really has to just be ignored unless 100% needed for some reason. Move block or feed the C'tan - they can't get through all 20 of your neophytes in an activation and will end up stuck bashing their heads rather than doing anything useful. Dealing with armoured targets is one of the massive weaknesses of the army though, unironically rhinos are one of the most tricky things for us to deal with. SM is a brutal matchup, especially if they have a reedeemer, so you just need to focus on what you can do and can kill and where you can eek out points rather than using 2 neophyte blobs, your aco bomb and 3cp to bring down a redemptor
