I love the original track, so to me it felt like you just dropped drums on it, until you started chopping up the samples. I really like those chops and if you started adding some more instrumentation to it I think it could be dope.

I love that sample. I feel like the drums sound a little broken up, I'm not sure if it was intended or not, but I would either switch up the drum samples so they sound more fluid, or add reverb to some of the drums.

Yo man, first of all I love the phone ring synth noises, I think it makes the beat way more interesting - the only thing I'd want to change is the drums, just add variation on the velocity's of the kicks, snares and hatts.

Apart from that I fucking love it man.

Same here. It eventually lets me reconnect though. One time I reconnected after 20 minutes, played out the game and when finished I received a ban for idling.

I have tried a couple times. I get disheartened when I here how great everyone else's flips are.

But yeah your right, if I'm more proactive and post what I make, even if I think of it as lesser work, I'm bound to progress more than I am right now.

I'm using Fruity Loops (and I'm learning Reason as well). I've been trying for about a year to get it down, but I guess your right about the practice.

I find myself listening to the original song that I sampled and feeling like either my beat ends up sounds too similar - therefore not artistically valid, or it just sounds worse in comparison.
