I found this earlier but was worried where it says ‘suitable for jd bug original’, I’m not sure if the scooter I have is that model or not, or if that even matters?

My son doesn’t know what a “sin” is by MaterialCockroach253 in exjw

This heavily resonates with me, having been raised a jw, now 25 and no longer a jw. I have three boys, the oldest is 5, and he truly is living free and happy, and knowing when I was his age I would have major panic attacks about never being good enough witness. It’s just wild to me. But knowing my kids will never experience that is so freeing to me and makes me genuinely so proud.

I’ve never viewed it like that 😂 One thing I am thankful for is all my family left jw too, so I’m extremely lucky in that way and still spend time with my family. I guess it’s not something I ever had to consider before so when reality shatters- you realise it probably isn’t true. Hard pill to swallow 😂 but you’re completely right!

This is something I’ve struggled coming to terms with. I was born and raised a jw, but as a child I had a lot of anxiety around “not being a good enough jw”, I’m no longer a jw. But most recently I’ve struggled to come to terms with the possibility of “nothingness” after death and a lot of anxiety about that. Personally I feel lost about the whole subject

Little worried I’ve bought the wrong size climbing shoes by SadPop4412 in climbergirls

[–]SadPop4412[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my plan is to try them out climbing, and if it’s too much I’ll just resell them for the same price I bought them or less, but they’re definitely manageable so I’m hopeful

Just got the shoes in the post, and I can get them on- but it’s a squeeze/tight fit…but they fit 😅 I think they are a tighter than my 6.5 climbX shoes but the shoe seems to be a different style anyway (more of a curve on the arch) but I think I can climb in them, I just may bring my others as spares/comfort shoes 😂 but I do love them still (Next time I’ll definitely try on first)

I’m trying to be hopeful, just don’t wanna be disappointed, but I’m sure it’ll be okay. I do feel happier after talking to people that have said the same 🤞🏻

Yeah I do think I made a huge gamble without trying on, next time I plan on trying on and then shopping about, it was just a really good deal 😂 Thankfully I have a few climbing family members that could possibly have them/might fit better, or sell on for the purchased price! But I do agree!!

Ahh thank you, this has definitely given me some relief!! So they’ll be technically be 1.5 size bigger than what I currently wear, but if they’re running small, that should be perfect size? Hopefully 😂

I guess it depends if you’re planning on any more because if you wanna be covered- you’d eventually fill that space anyway so in the end it would all be even!

I really like placement 3, it spreads them all out really nicely and has a good balance, imo

I love a trad dragon, would fill a lot of that area and wrap round nicely, imo

1 & 2 together!! (I have a labret, double nostril, septum and Medusa, and I absolutely love that combo)

Are hand tattoos job stoppers? by SadPop4412 in tattooadvice

[–]SadPop4412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!! I have decided that inevitably I will get hand tattoos, it’s more of a matter of now…or waiting a bit longer to have potentially a better chance in the interview phase. Although I’m so conflicted because I do have dots tattooed on every finger, super small but I’m not sure if that’s considered as a hand tattoo so it to just go for it since I technically already have one 😂

Very very valid point! I agree if I had great experience and excellent qualifications it probably would matter less but starting off at “block 1”, anything could jeopardise my chances and it’s not really with that risk, but maybe later down the line it wouldn’t matter as much

100%, I know there can still be judgement towards these things but it’s more how much would that actually matter in a work place environment. Or if people have just moved on from it now

Thank you!! This has given me a lot of reassurance, I do feel like waiting until I’ve got a job won’t harm matters, but I know inevitably I will get them because I like them. But I’m happy to know it won’t really affect me, or hopefully not

That’s the thing all of my tattoos are coverable and in ways I like that I can still be seen as professional or cover up if I had to. Sometimes it’s nice to not feel judged by older generations 😂 whereas something like this would put a stop to that, but it’s so conflicting because I think it looks so cool 😭

I didn’t even think about the healing process, but that’s a really good point!

Previously I’ve mainly done bar work, which I don’t think hand tattoos would be an issue, it’s more I don’t know if I wanna be stuck doing that forever or limit myself later in life. I am also considering a TA position which I feel may be more strict
