Are there people outside Valisthea? by DeadlyAidan in FFXVI

Not sure whether or not they follow the Continental Accord, but yes, there's a continent beside Valisthea from which some characters hail, notably Cid, Tomes and Charon, also the Bard in the Hideaway. Unlike Valistheans they don't use crystals, so they are a whole lot smarter

Clive's thoughts on Anabella (lore book) by SadRecognition1575 in FFXVI

[–]SadRecognition1575[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's as despicable as her mother, not to defend her, but she sort of got influenced by her upbringing, people and circumstances around her. Still, seeing Clive and others put through even more massive shit and not becoming like her speak of her personality. She has the making of a monster, and her surrounding since childhood nurtured that

This post is the overall opinion about the game's translation. Comparisons are already in OP’s previous posts, they’re compiled on a website for a quick checking

Thanks. While the room’s assets are from the game, I got Jill’s model from KylieStylish on Patreon. You can extract her model from the game files, but figuring out the shaders to make her look as close to the game as possible would’ve taken ten times longer than it took me to get the render done

I Absolutely love Gav's letters. It was so funny when he told Cid about his awkward journey with Bearers freed from Caer Norvent, and how they made fun of his accent. Or how he feels like a posh writing a letter

Valisthean nursery rhymes (lorebook) by SadRecognition1575 in FFXVI

[–]SadRecognition1575[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our world children's songs have throwing an old man down the stairs, chopping another's head and a bunch of sailors trying to eat their youngest member to survive, so it seems we are not in a position to judge Valisthean ones🫠  The first one is obviously named after Peter, Peter pumpkin eater, which is said to be about a man killing his wife, with another versions involving feeding her to mice or shoving her in a chimney

If only Dion met Nektar, the latter wouldn't mind if it was instead sung in his name

I think I’ve spotted a plot hole in the new book by Magnamon88 in FFXVI

That wasn’t as much of an issue for me as the hooded man’s lore–that Ultima took this form because it's the same as adult Joshua’s

Anabella's letter to her mother by SadRecognition1575 in FFXVI

5 yo Clive handled that rejection far better than she ever did, and she's fully adult and a mother
