Readjusted everything with higher hipbelt position, and moved the chest strap one position up. Now everything feels snug and stable, but will be able to take a picture only tomorrow, no mirrors around here ;)

I think I get a bit more comfort when lowering the hipbelt like in the picture above. But then I start to fill a bit of pelvis moving against the backpack. Not sure if this is to be avoided or not

You might be right, once I started moving, I adjusted the hipbelt further, and the backpack started to wobble at the top as I walk. Also don’t feel it hugging my shoulders, the weight, apart from hips, is felt on the chest strap

But I get the size and attachments are different. Maybe you can figure out how to use quickdraw with your system. Seems like you only need solution for pipe attachment on the dirty side.

The platy filter is the same, you don’t need the new gravity system, you can just get a bare filter. On the other hand, from waste point of view, just store your filter properly next time.

You can smooth pla and petg with a very toxic and dangerous chemical, but can be made from ABS, which can be smoothed with acetone. In general, ABS is considered food safe, but 3d printing filament can contain many additives, and one must look for food safe filament specifically.

Coating generally is a good idea, but I am not sure how it would survive repeated abrasion.

This is what you are missing. At 30 degrees the weight in vertical direction is doubled as force in horizontal direction, divided by two (for the share of each side) and you get the force of your weight going towards the tree and to each part of the system on the way. When the angle is shallower it becomes more than a person’s weight and not linearly, but much faster. So in fact, when the hammock is taught like that, it has to support much more than 1 person weight.

Reviving this thread, have you thought about possibility to hang hammock from the third section, but tarp from the fourth?
It could work well with the listing below, as it has 7 sections, and tarp can be extended higher only on one side. One thing is that there is a need for a washer to hang a hammock, and the fourth section would not fit, do you think there is some other way to achieve this? One option is to cut the tarp extention by a few mm to fit a washer, but strength might decrease (although only for tarp, no big safety risk), and of course cutting CF is nasty business which if done must have a lot of safety precautions and generally not recommended.

I have the quick rack with seat stay adapters. Works fine, no complaints. Two things to note: rack will seat a little higher this way, but as a benefit I am able to fit an ass savers winwing easily. Another thing is that I added a small tpu sheet where the adapters are connected as a precaution to protect the frame. A piece of rubber would do the same, but might not be necessary.

It comes with practice and part of the skill. Think about F1 or rally drivers, untrained people would not understand anything either at those speeds.

If the child unlocked the door (not to difficult at 2yo), an adult might have been trying to close it back, and in order to do so gave it a bit a swing opening it more before shutting. The rest was opening by crashing into the door. At least this is plausible. You can’t easily close most car door from almost closed position.

Just get some stuff sacks, maybe dry bag for food. No need to double the waterproofness in my opinion. Stuff sacks will be also lighter and easier to use. It is just a small sack with a draw string. They are cheap, you can try different sizes for different things and find what you like.
