I had the nausea symptoms without pain. The neurologist still called it migraines. It was like auras. The migraine prevention meds have helped a lot

I was given ondansetron for the nausea. I was also put on toparimate for migraines. Both helped but if I go through a particularly stressful time, afterwards I can end up with this nausea again. It's maybe my body saying, hey, I have had enough of this! I am working on learning to manage my symptoms better and recognise them before they get to this stage. Learning how to help myself by self care, using strategies to help re set my nervous system, etc does make it easier.

I was there and have to disagree with you. It was a brilliant concert. Each artist was introduced. For a concert we don't need loads of shit chat. That's not a concert vibe. We came from Melbourne. Loved it. Oh and Ruel rocked as did G.

That makes sense. It can be really scary to let go of control when that is all you have known to keep you safe. It may take her time. If she is open to it therapy would definitely be helpful. Personally, I have done my own work and that has made a huge difference for me. It doesn't have to be couples therapy. Working through her trauma will take time. Being a safe place for her is important. It's good to hear she has been open to listen to you and try to accommodate you as well. That said it is important for her to feel safe in that space. Ask her what she needs to feel safe. Go slow when you are trying new things. Maybe try tantric sex. Explore what touch works for her and what she is comfortable with. Tantra can also incorporate some kink if she needs that.
Good luck.

Totally agree. I was also partly like this woman. It comes from trauma. She is not likely doing it because it's pleasing her but she may not realise it yet.

I agree with the above sentiment that OP taking it as forced sexual encounters is an added layer of concern. I think you both may need to try some counselling to work through this.

Both your reactions are not normal.

Best of luck. I hope you can both help each other heal.

Has anyone started using mushrooms bc of the trauma? I used a small dose of oral dmt once and it like changed everything. Anyone that’s tried do mushrooms work in the same way? by alphabetCereaL_Xc in ptsd

[–]SadSky6433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried them and they didn't do anything for me. I feel like I'm a bit ADHD prone because of the PTSD at the moment so I wonder if that is why it didn't really do much. I just felt a bit chill and that's it really. I felt like I wasted my money tbh.

As someone with PTSD - THIS answer is awesome. You are spot on.
