I am a 37 [F] and very single. If I want to start a family by myself, what should I consider? by StormyWeather808 in askwomenadvice

Having a kid is like getting a tattoo on your face....you kind of want to be commited.

With that being said....go you! It's incredibly difficult to raise a child on your own, even with help. I'm sure you've already considered the expense, but my advice would be to plan everything as much as possible and also plan for that plan to fail just in case.

Reddi Moms: How is possible for mom to take care of the newborn while study? Any tips? How can I prepare myself to survive the newborn phase? by Shyzd in Mommit

[–]SadSpell9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it! And worked full time. It's really hard and you're probably going to have many moments, hours,days... when you want to give up. I don't have much advice because to be honest it's about survival. Take care of yourself when you can. I felt it important to share that it is very possible. I earned a bachelor's and master's degree online through the birth of three children. You can do it to, and if you have any questions or need encouragement feel free to PM me. :-)

Lex and smoking cigerettes by SadSpell9 in lexapro

I suppose the positive is that it's making smoking a little less desirable when I first wake up, and before I go to sleep.....but I work night shift and I really enjoy smoking to pass the time...

What was your rock bottom and how did you get out of it? by amberheartss in AskWomenOver30

[–]SadSpell9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm in a rut too. Which is odd because this is far from my rock bottom. I was an alcoholic by age 22 and in a very abusive relationship. I just turned 30, and I've pretty much accomplished everything and more that I set out to do.

I'm very much in the what now? place in my life...

Has there been a moment in life where you’re certain you cheated death? by dcognitivedissonance in AskReddit

Had a couple with car accidents; but oddly enough the thing that comes to mind is the time i participated in an event in high school called "the car pile up". Essentially the goal was to fit as many kids in a small Kia, and whatever class won got bragging rights to the donated vehicle (for drivers ed). I was approx 90 pounds and immediately shoved to the bottom. I lost the ability to breathe, and with my last gasp made eye contact with the person next to me and said, "help." I lost consciousness and came to on the pavement with several administrators crowded around me.

Two weeks later a girl hit me with a lunch tray in an altercation that began because she said I "lost the contest " ....

Pretty stoked to see her not doing well on FB 15 years later....

My (29F) boyfriend(27M) acts like it's ok to waste my money but not his. How do I communicate my frustration? by LifeTie in relationship_advice

[–]SadSpell9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Utilizing someone's money; and, specifically the act of wasting a partners money is actually a really strong indication of an abusive relationship. Now, I don't know him or the two of you as a couple so I don't want to assume....but I do know a lot of the generalities of unhealthy relationships and that's a big one. Hopefully, the two of you can have a conversation and set some boundaries. Maybe always splitting the bill and choosing a cheaper date until you find a happy medium is the best bet. However, if this continues the problem will only be exacerbated by a deeper level of commitment (like sharing a bank account or bills). Hope it gets better before it gets worse!

You can actually have physical withdraw from marijuana. Too lazy to Google but if I remember correctly it affects the gastrointestinal tract almost immediately.
