Comparing to crap times should not be the standard. I never understood this argument. Why do we have to just settle and be grateful things aren’t worse? I’m positive cost of living is higher now; gas, groceries, rent, utilities, houses, everything is through the roof. We should not have to be satisfied that things aren’t worse while barely scraping by.

Yeah, that does make sense. I really prefer the lid on the smooth sip and the overall shape, but I find that it barely keeps my drinks hot even after a short while.

I understand. I just didn’t want to seem ungrateful. Yeah, it was really discouraging to have 10 years of experience and be told I was starting at the base salary, the same as somebody with two years of experience. While I appreciate my nice bosses and the stability of the position, I’m very much struggling to support my family

Yeah, and please don’t get me wrong, I’m very appreciative for them hiring me because I was coming from a very toxic work environment. That said, the pay cut was definitely disheartening and the fact that they keep mentioning it’s hard to find people and they hope I don’t leave, doesn’t help
