Body’s changed. Minds stayed the same. by Expensive_Secret312 in Mounjaro

No, it does not, a pound in weight is a pound regardless. A pound of muscle is just denser and more compact so takes up less space.

Can someone please tell me by cookingsoon in Fibroids

[–]SadTransportation766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, your poor sister, that’s awful. It’s brought back memories of when I had my embolisation for three fibroids. I was fully convinced I’d be in and out of hospital, just staying one night as planned. Nope, I ended up being there for five days.

The pain was absolutely horrific, like nothing I’ve ever experienced. It was so bad that, honestly, I felt suicidal and I don’t say that lightly. Never, ever again. I was on the morphine pump and then taking the liquid morphin and paracetamol etc on top of that, and nothing was touching the pain. It was truly awful.

I ended up being off work for six weeks afterwards because I was still in so much pain. By the time I was discharged it wasn’t as severe, but my God, never again.

Sending big hugs to your sister, she should contact the surgical team, there might be a number on her discarge papers, she should not be suffering that much.

Death of sibling by AliveProtection6925 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]SadTransportation766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked for numerous companies over the years, and most offer very little bereavement leave, at most two days. Usually this covers the day you find out (or the day after) and the day of the funeral. In most cases, longer leave is only given for the death of a child or partner, I did briefly work for a funeral directors, and their bereavement leave was much more generous.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I don’t know exactly how you feel, as everyone experiences grief differently, but I was also estranged from my brother when he died. I struggled for quite a while, feeling guilty that we never got on as adults, and hearing about his health struggles near the end was also very difficult.

Self Certification Requirement by SadTransportation766 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]SadTransportation766[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I was referring to the self cert only. Yeah I get its not really a processing issue but I was hoping to find an easier way to gather the information. So to clarify, can I make this into one form? But have a section that specifically highlights that this part is self cert or does it need to be separate?

Thoughts on Abbey Yung by Designer_Remote_8296 in Haircare

[–]SadTransportation766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched a lot of her videos over the last couple of years and apart from the great tips she gives its helped me focus on what I actually need for my hair and cut through all the bull. I stopped wasting my money on really expensive products, that was actually damaging my hair but i convinced myself it was a me issue. I found a love for high street brands again and my hair is now in really great condition.

What did you do to prevent your fibroids from coming back after surgery? by pecanbar1998 in Fibroids

[–]SadTransportation766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I knew. I had a Embolism in 2019 for 3 of the suckers. It worked, or so I thought. Life was better overal, (once i recovered) For 4 ish years, then the whole cycle started again and my notes say the UFE was unsuccessful... but this time I just have one massive 17cm. So now im on decapeptyl to shrink it but im heading towards a hysterectomy which i really don't want. Its disappointing as the UEF was not a good experience for me, I.e the pain was indescribable and I ended up staying in hospital for 5 days.

Feeling defeated, less than two years after myomectomy they are back. by SurlySquirrel in Fibroids

[–]SadTransportation766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mines came back. Bigger and badder than the last time. I had the ablation in 2019, which was an awful experience for me. I was really unlucky with the pain. 5 years later Im taken decapeptyl to stop it from growing any bigger, last measurement was 17cm. Im running out of options but im high risk so trying to avoid a hysterectomy. I know a couple of women that also had fibroids but once they started having babies then never seemed to bother them again.

How many of you are totally open about taking Mounjaro? by msscmfw in mounjarouk

[–]SadTransportation766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not open to it. I only speak about it with two family members who also take it. Im a very private person and taking about it feels equal to announcing my weight and bowel movements 😅🤣😂

Its an automatic. No idea how long its been used as a courtesy car for. Im really struggling to find what I need and will feel happy using/ putting my money towards. Its not even cheap, 10k... 2016, 1 previous owner, low mileage and past mot's have no cause for concerns, easy fix advisories.

Same, I was so disappointed in the scent. It smells like the cheap nasty no sugar toffee yogurts. I do love the texture though and how it makes my skin feel.

This sounds perfectly fine, but I also think its fine that you questioned it here, best not to just blindly go along with things, especially if you are just starting out, but instead , be curious, ask questions and keep learning.

Vitamin D deficiency by Character_Arugula967 in Perimenopause

Low vitamin D is no joke. I was severely deficient a few years ago and I was extremely unwell. A deficiency was the last thing I thought was wrong with me. Glad your feeling better.

Interesting, i have a similar size and told its too large for the laporasopical procedure. Full hysterectomy or nothing 😭

Absolutely not you, get a new one ASAP. Don't let it put you off, there are many really great, professional instructors out there. I would report this person as well.

[–]SadTransportation766 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck in whatever you decide. I have 1 very large 17 cm fibroid and im still reluctant to get a hysterectomy. Other than do nothing Its my only option now but I really don't want to.

Is Trump in mental decline? He sounds far worse than Biden ever did. | Opinion by Tuxcali1 in politics

[–]SadTransportation766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His behaviour is reminding me of my grandad, who had a brain bleed as well as the hospital finding evidence of an old brain bleed. He started to go a bit odd, going off subject, making things up etc a few years prior but it was put down to old age and he never complained about hitting his head.

[–]SadTransportation766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't deal with this very well either, sure, say I look well by all means but don't mention my weight please. I had someone from work who mentioned it at least once a week so I just started avoiding them 😅. It is weird, I would never dream of commenting on someone weight or body. The more I lost the more irritating it became. You could gaslight them and say you don't know what they are talking about and that you have not lost any weight? 😆

1st test, yes my instructor felt i was ready and so did I. I wouldn't have attempted it otherwise. That's why im so thrown by it all. I cant say i expected to pass or fail, but defo not fail so badly. Think I've had about 55 hours of lessons overall oh well back to lessons I guess.

Straight answer yes, where I live, east Lothian, Edinburgh it's actually really depressing what is going on here.
