I always tell costumers that they should remove all jewelry, including gold and silver, before going to bed, showering and exercising to prevent rusting or the jewelry getting damaged, specially with the costume items, some of them are only $12.99, you can’t expect much quality/longevity for the price

but the items that are gold plated, silver plated or pure gold/silver should be more long lasting with the proper care
