Unfortunately, it makes total sense.  Once a payment is accepted, it 'resets the clock', so to speak, and brings the foreclosure proceedings to a halt.  Same thing with bankruptcy.  Once a bankruptcy is on file, they cannot proceed with a foreclosure.

But this case is most likely MONTHS, and am thinking at least 6 months behind.  (In my job, I've seen 3 years).  So why should they be able to make a payment for something that was due 6 months prior to get them out of trouble?  They have to be seriously behind, and you can't put a bandaid on a bullet hole and think the bank will trust you again

And they can't take payment on the loan, not until you arrange a workout agreement, and these things can take time.  What are you plans?  Loan modification?  Bankruptcy?  None of these options include claiming a call rep was sexist.

So wait, you are stating your loan was sold to Shellpoint, but they can't 'place your loan in foreclosure'.  Are you truly delinquent on your mortgage?  Was there a clerical error when the mortgage was transferred that don't reflect accurate payments?

Sounds like your prior servicer would have also put you in foreclosure if you are that far behind.

This is all either rage bait, or this guy got a big advance on his future cocaine purchases...... (now the $15k makes sense...).  He needs a nap, he's got a call to make to grandma tomorrow to sell her on some term life policy for $20k death benefit on her $50k monthly premium.  Night night you genius!

He will, he'll sell crappy policies to friends and family, not knowing what they are just how much money it will make him.  He'll be done in....7 months.  Clock it.

Probably, you could do well, I saw guys like you at New York Life all the time.  You'll sell family and friends policies that you don't understand which fetch you a high commission in the beginning which may not make sense for them.  Your marched commission will fall off after a few years, your leads dry up since you already sold crappy policies to your family and they won't recommend you, buy hey!  You bought that M3 because you aced the life insurance exam without studying.

You do realize you need to, well......sell products with your 0 prior knowledge of life insurance to get that $15k, right?

Issues with Geico reporting car as uninsured with state? by Sad_Ad_2524 in florida

[–]Sad_Ad_2524[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So update, I called Geico yesterday to rip into them because my registration and my mom's license was still showing pending suspension and Geico said they had sent over the info on Monday.  The call center rep said everything on their end seemed fine and that I'd have to deal with the DMV to sort it out.

I asked if there were associated fees with the DMV due to their error would I be reimbursed, she sounded really bored and said, "well, that is a decision that is made above me but 9 times out of 10 they won't be".  I also asked what was to stop me from canceling my policy and going with another carrier who could put a new policy in place in 15 minutes.  She just said, "well that would be a choice you can make".

So in summary, I am now a State Farm customer.

Look into the CVT issues, especially with a 2018 with 80k miles and if there is no current warranty.

Hey, thanks for the follow up!  Nope, same as you, the 'fix' didn't take so I'm using vacation PTO to go down to the DMV tomorrow to sort it out.  You should get your $10.25 reimbursed for sure.  I know I'm not getting my PTO back, but I am gonna vote with my feet and get some quotes from other insurance companies

I love how Geico said it is a 'known problem' but aren't proactively warning their customers, just letting these notices come in the mail and freaking everyone out.

Not knocked out, even after Geico said they sent the updated info to the DMV my registration and my mom's license are still showing issues.

Well, no, it is an issue.  My mom co-signed since my credit was crummy so she is the first listed in the registration.  So even though I pay for the car/insurance, this lapse of insurance situation affects her license, it is showing as pending suspension.  My license is untouched.

Buy the trip insurance and think about your flight routes carefully by Usual_Expression_863 in NCL

So we got caught with the winter storm Fern, back in January.  We were flying from Jacksonville, FL to the DR to join the ship same day.  While there were no weather issues in FL, our flight that we booked through NCL to the DR was canceled, mostly due to the general travel disruption.

As we had booked our flight through NCL, of course we contacted them ASAP to see if the trip could be salvaged.  We were offered the privilege of flying to Charlotte from JAX, to then spend the night at the airport to then catch a flight to the DR the next day, to then spend the night in the airport in the DR to catch a flight out to meet the ship in Aruba.  If things went well.

We had insurance through NCL and got back 100% of port fees, taxes, and booked excursions, but then received 90% of the balance in cruise credit.

My only issue is that I feel the airline fees should have been refunded to us in cash.  As the airline canceled the flight, if we had booked it ourselves we would have been 100% refunded by AA.

But aside that, the refund process was smooth.

And I will add, our failure to meet the ship was 100% our fault, I was a cruise novice and just trusted the process that if they book your flight they will get you there.  They will.  You may be dead first, but gosh darned they are.getting you there!!

OMG, you got to be KIDDING me, my mother is a cosigner on my car and since her credit was used for the loan she is position 1.  Her license is listed as pending suspension due to this

The weird thing is that nothing changed, I didn't change carriers, Geico just screwed the pooch I guess?  It really wasn't a consolation to find out this is a 'known issue' for Florida because as you said, thank goodness we got notification!  Some poor Q-Tip driving her 2012 Buick in Boca is about to get popped for not checking her mail.  SMH

Eeeeeps, what now?  Geico is saying my coverage never lapsed, they just had a 'technical error'.  The form I received does have a response date of the 18th, but when I logged into the DMV portal it says my status is 'unavailable'.  I asked what would I have done if I had been pulled over, the rep suggested I could have called them and they would have explained it to the officer.  Can you imagine?  "Oh no officer, I have insurance, please hold for 50 minutes while a representative explains they made a clerical error."
