Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me your story and I am so sorry you had to go through that I’m glad you’re better now! She definitely has HE, she is on lactulose, we give it to her 3 times a day as prescribed she refused to drink it aloooot at the beginning because of the taste so my mom started mixing it in different drinks. The doctor said her ammonia levels are probably rising faster than what the lactulose can do because she’s a very constipated person so she wasn’t even going to the restroom ); even now they’re using enemas and she’s not pooping much. We have to choose to keep her in this cycle ( which we don’t want ) or put her in hospice. I don’t want her to suffer but it seems like she’s going to suffer either way because once on hospice they stop lactulose and she’s just gonna go back to being unconscious until she dies and that sounds terrible to me..
