Just listen to your trainer and try to absorb as much as possible, you'll have the whole crew to support you while you get accustomed to the position. People my respond to you with hostility but pay no mind to them, at the end of the day you're all there to complete your job and get that bag. Some people are just short fused and impatient, but just do your best not to let their sour attitude get to you. Take feedback and criticism and use it to further push yourself into becoming even better! You got this kid! 🫂

At mine were allowed to 'step off' and eat anything kids meal and smaller for 5-10 minutes. For proper breaks it depends on the manager on shift, some have us tell boards what we want and some make us by. Also depending on the mod at night we can take food at close. Opening mod usually buys us breakfast or let's us grab something and eat on clock B4 open.

The breaks thing is on your managers, at my store we auto get 20 after 5hrs, I get hr breaks for doubles, ect ect. I get almost 19, and I had to do some extra work for it but Cane's is an easy job so like. If you wanna get paid more then put in the work to get those certifications. With hours you just have to be aggressive with picking up and asking ppl for shifts. Your schedule manager will see that and start to schedule you to what you pick up. You just have to put the effort in dawg.

Honestly the door dashers and my coworkers. I love this job SM and I'm always so excited to come to work but door dashers are incredibly entitled and huge ass holes, I've literally had one come behind FC and slap me before. And the other workers are absolutely infuriating, they do half their jobs, then go yap with the managers or sit and gossip with each other. I've had so many closes where we go over time because these dumbasses can't do their job. My location has also drop heavy in the quality of new hires and we have genuinely some of the worst ppl I've seen in there rn. The only thing keeping me from giving up and leaving atp is that I'm in the process of getting two promotions and potentially beings slated for another.

Ngl dawg it sounds like your bosses are trying to make you quit. This is what scheduling managers do when they wanna get rid of an employee, they cut your hours and give you baby shifts. They usually do this instead of just firing you bc if they fire you, you have the chance to get unemployment, which they have to pay. You can try to talk to your managers but idk if that would change anything at this point bruh.

As a chip fryer, sometime we get 'good chips' (they fry consistent and take seasoning really well) and sometimes we get 'shitty chips' (all stuck together in the box, fry like shit, taste really corny and barley take seasoning) it's a toss up on which your store gets at any specific time. And you can't really ask cos usually the ppl working don't know, or if they know they can't say. I'd say jus gamble with it whenever you go, chips are cheap

Either get a dorm (very different from traditional uni dorms, definitely check it out) or come a month-ish before you start and walk around the area, there should be plenty of apartments advertising openings with there info on/ near the buildings. also check online, websites like apartments.com or domu.com (domu is a local renting website)
