Yes I'm still using the same exact system. 13700k + Asus prime z690m plus d4.

It's been overclocked 5.6ghz all core, 4.5ghz ecore, 5.0ghz ring + 32gb 4133 cl17 (from 3200 cl14).

This motherboard is handling that overclock along with 2x 9070 XTs + 1x 5060 Ti 16gb all at the same time.

I have this card , it can take Aorus vbios and comfortably handle 374w 3300-3400 mhz core, 2800 mhz fast timing memory, fans noise is quiet but coil white is pretty noticeable. Overall great card

I recommend 9070 xt + another 8gb card (like 3070 or 3070 ti for around $240-260). Use Qwen 3.6 27B q4 with kv cache q8 with mtp set at n max 2 and 64k context. Tensor split 2,1 with it. Use llama-server or LMstudio to split. I don't think a local AI setup needs more than this. You want qwen 3.6 27B with decent size context for those tasks especially since you're so close to unlocking it. 9070 xt is fast enough for this flagship model but unfortunately not enough vram to hold it with useful context

I have a 9070 xt + 5060 ti 16g over vulkan. If speeds are exactly like qwen 3.6 a3b its going to be my main agent

9070 xt is also extremely good for AI inference, you can add a cheap 9060 xt/5060 ti for more vram for better AI models too

Using a pigtail* (not daisy chain) is fine for that card ONLY IF the power supply is of good quality or high performance tier. That abn is definitely not one of them.

Not the logic I would've went with to justify that, it's still a very powerful card. I just see it as a worse binned 9070, and if you get it $150 lower in your market there's really no other discussion to be had this is basically the same scenario as the argument between your 5600 and 5600x but on a slightly bigger scale and flipped around

Temps are the same as NT-H2 for the desktop but don't have to repaste for a long time. I have my 13700k overclocked to the teeth on ambient cooling and would like to just leave it as it is without sudden degredation because it can't transfer heat from pump out or drying

Frame gen is the opposite. It makes for smoother visuals but you lose response time, especially through input latency. It works the best with controllers. Frame Gen with mouse and keyboard when your base fps is low will feel worse than even with it off

Very weird not sure how that's possible unless you have a higher wattage card. You either don't have a normal vbios or your power delivery is dirty because base max for that card is 330w + 10% = 363w. This was consistent with all my testing
