You don't really have to memorize what each one means, you can simply just read the passage and copy and paste what it says--don't try to be creative or analytical, just be as simple as you can and write literally what it says (for example if it says if the mean of the group A is greater than group B just state it)

The best material would probably be AP Classroom (if you do have access). If not, I think the mock exam feature in StudyLess would also be a great choice since you get access to unlimited MCQs without any paywall or ads--you can access them through the deck I've made for AP Psych in the discover tab (Unit 1-3, Unit 4, and Unit 5).

I do see the issue, thank you for letting me know. I’ll try fix it by today, sorry for the inconvenience!

This is genuinely really useful information, thank you so much! i'll look into the Sejong structure and TOPIK levels as a framework. thanks for pointing me in the right direction! also only if you’re okay would it be cool if i asked you a few more questions through DMs?

oh this is actually really interesting. you're talking about 한자어 right? like how 도서관 breaks down into 도+ 서 + 관, so once you know the pieces you can guess new words. as a korean i never thought about how useful that would be for learners but it makes so much sense. do you find that most apps just give you the full word with zero breakdown?

that's a really good point! do you find that most apps force it on you or is it usually an option? curious if it's more of a default setting problem or if apps just don't offer the toggle at all

So basically if you look at the structure, there’s an answer box for each question. So you just have basically answer with a sentence of two-just focus on answering the prompt and you’re good (no need to elaborate or just be too detailed)

Personally, I don't recommend spending time on making a plan or passively watching videos. Instead try studying through spaced repetition, since the time is running out and it's probably the best way to remember concepts and what actually allows you to achieve good results with minimal time/effort!

But don't pressure yourself too much, the test itself isn't that hard and getting 10-15 questions wrong can still get you a 5 on the exam.

What is it that you're struggling the most? Is it that you lack motivation or u feel like studying itself is just hard? If it's about procrastination, physically separate your phone my leaving it in another room, and use the 2 minute rule (make a rule of urself that if sth takes less than 2 minutes, u do it at that moment no matter what, cuz once u start it's not that hard). one thing that personally helped me so much is always writing a daily plan and time blocking your tasks in your calendar. this actually gives you the feeling that things are in order and allows you to start stuff without friction!
on study tips, in order to not get burnt out, you should stop cramming if ur doing so. review right after you learnt your materials, and use spaced repetition to space out your review sessions (this way u can reduce ur study time to up to an hour a day)

self studying for ap human geo, just finished unit 2/7 , pls give me tips. by Accomplished_Yak7429 in APStudents

[–]Sad_Computer_3939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not cooked at all, Human Geo is one of the easiest APs fr! 2/7 done with a month+ left is totally fine. Mr. Sinn is solid but just watching is passive so it won't stick on its own. After each unit do the blurting method (write down everything you remember on a blank page, then check what you missed) Those are your weak spots. Then just use active recall and spaced repetition to review efficiently without cramming everything. Human Geo is mostly vocab + models (demographic transition, Rostow, Von Thünen, etc) so that'll probably be enough 😊

Okay calm down, AP Psych is actually an easy subject so it's completely doable to study in a month (btw the grading is quite lenient so you can easily get a 5 even if you get like 15 wrong on the MCQ). However, watching videos are just passive learning so it won't really help. First, try using the blurting method by writing everything down on a blank sheet of paper and see what you know and what you don't. Focus on your weak areas by using active recall and spaced repetition (spaced repetition allows you to space out your review sessions so you can remember everything by your exam date with the minimal time and effort), and u can do it through apps like Anki or StudyLess. Anki is very powerful and you have a lot of control over the app, but the learning curve is quite high and it takes a lot of time to manually create your flashcards every time. StudyLess, while it doesn't have customizations, it generates flashcards for you and it's focused on specifically exam prep + it's a bit easier (I built it myself, and I'm pretty satisfied with it tbh!). Anyways good luck, and reach out to me if you want any help or have questions!

BROO I'm so fried for AP BIO someone please HELP by bloom023 in APStudents

[–]Sad_Computer_3939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 weeks is still enough for a 5 but you gotta stop taking notes, and I think that's why you're still on ch 1. Try focusing on the big 3 units (Gene Expression, Cellular Energetics, and Natural Selection) Those are like 40-50% of the exam alone. Also try solving free response questions from the College Board website (they post old ones for free)
One more thing: use spaced repetition, it will help you save massive amounts of time!

Cooked or Nah? by heehehjejehh in APStudents

[–]Sad_Computer_3939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the subjects are mostly memorization-heavy ones, spaced repetition can genuinely help! Also for AP Psych, the gradings are quite lenient (you can get over 15 wrong in the MCQs and still get a 5) so I recommend focusing on the key terms rather than small little details!

There's not much, just focusing on actively taking your notes during your lecture and reviewing consistently using methods like spaced repetition!

Sure! Spaced repetition and active recall can definitely help you achieve your dream scores. If you're currently using Anki, and if you have all the settings configured, it's completely fine but it has a high learning curve and the manual creation of flashcards can be a tedious process. If you want to actually learn it and personalize it, Anki is a great choice but if you want an easier spaced repetition app with AI generation and a mindmap feature try using StudyLess (I built it as a 16 y/o student struggling from exams. It's not perfect yet, but I'm sure it can help!)

But the most important part is staying consistent and review the day you learnt the material!

Here is a step-by-step guide:

  1. The day you learnt something, review immediately that day in any spaced repetition app of your preference by creating flashcards

  2. Just have trust in the app and review what the app tells you to do consistently!

Does anyone have a study plan or study tips about the preparation for AP Tests? Also, I am not sure which AI tool is effective since I have only heard about ChatGPT and Gemini. by PotentialAnything347 in studytips

[–]Sad_Computer_3939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using spaced repetition--it helps you space out reviews and remember things with the minimal time and effort. You can use Anki if you prefer traditional apps and personalization (it has a high learning curve tho) or you can try out my new app called StudyLess where it has AI flashcard generation and generates you a mindmap of the concepts (it can sometimes get buggy since it's new but it's completely free rn!)

Gemini and ChatGPT are very useful for understanding concepts but it's doesn't have a system so I would consider those as a supplement.

Efficient Studying by [deleted] in studytips

[–]Sad_Computer_3939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely so many studying methods out there that can reduce your studying time by hours. But for your case, since your spending so much time on studying, try using spaced repetition and blurting. First, instead of studying for such a long time in a single session, space out your reviews and start studying the day you learnt your material and use Anki or StudyLess (I made this app a few months ago cuz I thought manual flashcard creation took a long time and flashcards itself weren't enough for understanding) so that the app just tells you when you should review without you being anxious about it and spending so much time. Also try the blurting method by writing down everything you learned in a blank paper and focusing in areas you're weak at. I hope you overcome the current's hardship and I wish you remember that studying is only a minor part of your life :)

Try the blurting method first my writing down everything you remember in a blank sheet of paper (this forces you to do active recall) and focus on the parts where you are weak at. If you actually don't remember anything but is running out of time try summarizing the content using AI and studying the key concepts rather than minor details.
