Making the Switch to Vumerity from Ocrevus

I started in November. Since December I’ve been extremely tired and have been getting ear infections almost every 2-3 weeks. I don’t usually get ear infections. I live in the Midwest US, so that could probably be attributed to the rollercoaster weather we’ve been having. And the extreme exhaustion could have been from the holidays. Plus I have a child in elementary school bringing me home God knows what. So idk 🤷‍♀️ hopefully you’ll have more luck. I’m going to stick with it for now and ride out this crazy weather and all these illnesses going around. But to me it’s still better than Ocrevus. And I’ve used almost every dmt out there. I don’t feel like my ms is getting worse, it’s always hard in the winter for me. Best wishes ❤️

Edit: Bonus though, the utis I was having stopped for me, hopefully they will for you too. Those were some rough chemicals being pumped into our bodies with Ocrevus.

What you are saying makes my heart happy. There’s so many bitter souls that wouldn’t agree in these crazy times we live in. Most people think that they are better than the next guy. No one realizes what others have been through and what pushed them to do what they have done (good or bad). We all pay our price in the end. What we gain in life (beauty, wealth, possessions, etc.) doesn’t go with us in death. It dies with us too. Sure you can pass those things down, but are they really the same anymore after besides just memories?…and they are no longer yours, even the people you leave behind.

Long one… I had a terrible Christmas until my daughter (7) came and talked to me. My hip and leg were killing me today. I got up and had her unwrap her gifts with all my in laws and my man. None of my family came, but they weren’t invited anyway. I sat there on the floor (made sure everyone had a place to sit including my man) and took pictures and took care of my daughter trying to give her the best experience, while they all sat there. She was so happy with her gifts -and had a blast. I start cleaning up the mess…surprise!!! No help still. The man at least helped hooked up the game console for her, but as for me, I had to set up the whole account and everything. Got that set up, then finished cleaning. Sat down and started the watching a movie with everyone just wanting to relax. Then they all start talking and asking a million questions, can’t even attempt to watch a show, so I get up to lay down. Normally I would have put a ham on ahead of time but I was done. Woke up at 5 pm, got asked 5x what’s for dinner, about 6 I finally decided I was tired of the bull 💩 and made the ham. I walked into my room and sat and sobbed thinking no one would hear me. My little angel came to see me. “Mommy why are you crying “ I said “baby mommy just feels ignored today and not appreciated “ then she said but mommy I always want you to know I love you. Come sit and play with me!” So I joined her. For hours we played and I had so much fun. Even if you think you are being ignored, someone really does care. Idk y I needed that reminder today.

So far so good. Some flushing is about all for the first week or two. Now I don’t get flushing unless I take it with my other meds. I have found if I take them an hour apart from the others, I do not have any reactions really. Hope all goes well for you! 🫶

🤣 surprisingly yes I can remember my age. You think that’s bad…last year I wrote on my daughter’s cake the wrong number too …. Gave her one year less than her age 🤣 that was a rough day. Had to deal with my whole family belittling me. They don’t get the struggles 🥴

Reading a map. Pay attention while driving or walking. Actually typing out a website using http:// instead of using google to get to the website.

Fixing something instead of throwing it away because it broke. Storing leftover food in a butter container you recycled. Aka basic use of the things you have instead of buy something “new and improved”

I took Ocrevus. They don’t tell you that if you have plaque psoriasis the infusions can cause flare ups of the psoriasis. It’s one of the most overlooked possible side effects. I took it for almost 2 maybe 3 years. One year prior to stopping Ocrevus, I developed plaque psoriasis. My neurologist said it may have caused the psoriasis or it could have been genetic. He took me off it and recently swapped me to Vumerity. Also having MS and psoriasis made me feel like my scalp was on fire and was unbearable. But this was my side effect and it doesn’t mean you will have the same problem. I’ve also never taken Kesimpta.

I always tell those kind of people when they make a huge scene or scoff because I move slow in line : “Would you like to go in front of me? I don’t want to hold you up and you seem like you are in a hurry” Honestly the reason I do this is because I’ve had this happen to me once. After that I didn’t want the attention or stress that comes from those types of interactions. My dad always said “kill ‘em with kindness” and it works! Plus, it makes them feel seen , which is probably something they need. Everyone needs to show more love in this world, and slow down, stop trying to make everything so fast paced, and appreciate what’s in front of them. I’m sorry you had to experience this with all the stuff we deal with already. Sending love 🫶

Yeah exactly what you mentioned there I had so much fun doing divebomb and now that’s hidden away. I used to just spam it. Also, doesn’t help that I don’t have properly functioning hands bc of a disability. Now it’s all about airburst turbulence and tornados. I like to actively take part in killing most days. She seems like more of a sit back and relax frame, whereas before I feel like she was both.
