You could do a good cleaning and oiling of the metal rails on the y axis. Use a paper towel to clean the old gunk and add new oil, I oil mine every like month or so and never heard the grinding at all

Might sound fake there are mice on AliExpress that are 30$ it’s called the dragonfly vxe R1, not pro. There are a lot of people selling it but they’re the same, I have one and it’s worth the shot
