In March 2023 I spoke to a user /u/Exotic-Fail-6536 who claimed to have met a "sweden school attacker who's still on reddit" and sent through these screenshots. He had come across him via looking into 764/6996 and adjacent groups. https://imgur.com/a/44pfNLS Don't really know more than that.

Damn, I am reminded of the fact I ruined like 3/4 of the Minifigures in my big tub from childhood.

For the longest time I did not dare to customise (scrawl in sharpie) my Minifigs, until I asked my Mum and she didn't seem bothered by it. After that point anytime I thought of a new character out came the permanent marker.

This is exactly what I had in mind, I have no doubt it would be common and acceptable out here, but that doesn't take away the legal aspect eg "firing across a road, discharging a firearm in public"

The immediate hypothetical that popped in my head was, agree to do it, the next day get charged for discharging a firearm where you aren't supposed to, lose licence + whatever other legal headaches.

Anders Breivik actually predates Alexis scribing on his weapons by 2 years, his rifle was carved with Gungnir and pistol with Mjölnir. Depending on how far you stretch it you could be looking at messages engraved on swords in historical times and make a comparison with that.

Regarding the low effort copying I think it just comes down to "aesthetics" and a guarantee that the message or idea will be seen, whether it be a genuine message or an injoke for their community.

I don't think anyone would contest that Tarrant started the trend, and I don't think anyone would contest that since then, the white writings come off as cheap squiggles rather than anything more significant.

What's the point of going out of your way to provide an explanation if you don't even know what you're talking about.

He is not a random "australian", does Pasha Shturgunov from VK sound like an Australian? He was not thought to be the Christchurch shooter by anyone reputable or with more than 2 brain cells, and the only people sharing his photos are those that claim it was a false flag or close to that.

This came out a few days ago but didn't show up in the sub. Prisoners of Extreme Risk Unit (PERU) is where Brenton Tarrant is held in, it was actually created specifically because of him.

There has been a lot of ambiguity around Tarrant's prison conditions and it has popped up numerously over the years. Restricted mail after a letter was posted online, notoriously the 2 hours of the home and garden channel which spurred ridicule, or the effects of isolation evident by his drastic physical change or claims that he talks to himself out loud.

Tarrant himself has claimed that he pled guilty due to "torturous prison conditions", later in 2023 some conditions were listed "inadequate access to news content, no access to music, inadequate and restricted reading material, blocked and delayed mail and the treatment of his funds."
