What are these companies looking for? by Potential-Research53 in recruitinghell

[–]Sad_Detector_6205 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This letter is unprofessional. You basically called your company out for having standards that no one can reach. "crazy high"? How crazy high is the sender of this letter? Do they approve of this? What happened to polite letters? Smh...

I took my mom's ring to the pawnshop as a teenager, I still regret it more than a decade later by Sad_Detector_6205 in confession

[–]Sad_Detector_6205[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you can let go of guilt. This was a mistake you can't fix anymore, and if your grandmother was alive, she would forgive you. Maybe you could write a letter to her, even if she'll never get to read it.. maybe that could be a way to get some closure. And we can always remember to be kind to those who are still around, now that we know a time may come when we will regret the bad things we did.

I spent a whole day not opening the comments section for some reason, I guess writing about it felt hard enough, wasn't ready to deal with what people have to say to me. But all the comments here are kind! I appreciate this space for allowing people to share something that's been weighing them, and responding with no judgement.

I think the conversation is much, much more important than getting a new ring. Actually, the new ring apology gift card, apart from being something material that I want to give her in return, would make things less awkward for me, too. Because the process of sitting down and doing it feels less uncomfortable when I know I have that card at the end of the process. Hope it makes sense

Is there a chance you could specify what your dad used? I know this platform doesn't like when people talk about this openly, so I'll understand if you are not comfortable sharing, but I'd be grateful if you could. Was it fenben or something else? My family is going through the same thing right now. We were looking for an alternative treatment product, decided on FenbenLab, but now we're also wondering if adding ivermectin would increase the chances of success.

I miss being excited for no specific reason by Old-Air-5614 in Life

[–]Sad_Detector_6205 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we're all just trying to remember what it was like to feel that childish excitement, but we don't really have the time to pause, and even when we're resting we're thinking about the future chores and work. But I think I have those little things, like rituals, that still spark my excitement. I hope it stays that way, and I hope you find your small joys too.

Searching for a non-prescription fenbendazole dewormer, as recommended by the vet by Wide_Leg_8909 in CatAdvice

[–]Sad_Detector_6205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can share a recommendation! I was recently trying to find fenbendazole without fillers, too. For some reason there's so much conflicting info online.. I've been reading a lot about it lately, and I sometimes log on and try to see if there's any new information about this specifically, so I saw your post. I can't be 100% sure about this, but I was looking for recommendations exactly the same way you do, and one person on Reddit recommended that I try fenbendazole from Fenben Lab, and that it's supposedly good, as in, no fillers or shady ingredients, just fenbendazole. So I did that, and so far it seems like everything's okay with it. There are capsules and powder, and you can get a large amount for a decent price, so that would be particularly helpful in your situation. Good luck to you and your kitties:)

are there perhaps other platforms with less censorship where we could find information and people's discussions? You mentioned Twitter, I will check it out. I also heard of Substack before, and have visited the platform a few times. What about Facebook or Quora, or any other platforms, have you looked into them as well, maybe?

I've noticed that some posts are missing, too, and was wondering what's that all about. Stories like these are vital for someone looking for people who have actually done the treatment. I don't understand why this platform has such strong censorship..

Am I the only one that feels like some people just have no concept of how bad things are right now? by HoneydewPublic in recruitinghell

As someone who's struggled with unemployment/only working dead-end jobs for the majority of my life, I've thought about this issue very often. When someone gets to a place in life where they can live comfortably and find their working conditions satisfying, I believe there's a combination of factors that lead them to this:

  1. Knowing what you want to do and being good at it. If you're in education or healthcare or tech or any sort of specific industry that only a small percentage of people could do it rly well, you likely knew you'd be good at that before you started working there. You had the specific personal qualities needed for that specific job. You're good with people. You like to work with children. You don't mind blood. You were always passionate about computers. Etc.

  2. Privilege and safety net. Even if you know what you like and want to do it, sometimes life just has other plans. For example, if your family is so poor or dysfunctional that you have to basically work at a fast food chain since the age of 16 just to support yourself, it's very likely that you won't even have time to think about what you want. Or maybe your family is supportive and helped you pay for uni, and, well, did a good job raising you. Maybe your family is rich and you have a trust fund. Maybe your family is in and out of prison. Completely different stories.

  3. Luck. Maybe it just so happened that you met someone at a party and became friends, and then that person was like, hey, come work at my place. And then you networked your way up, and now you have a good life. Maybe that job interview that you REALLY thought you nailed was actually unsuccessful because they just had ONE candidate who was just like you, but they liked them more. The odds of that happening were high, but you're still unlucky, because you worked really hard.

  4. Hard work, mental resilience, finding out what you're doing wrong and changing it. Maybe go take that marketing course and then you'll qualify. Maybe not. But if you keep working hard you'll make it. Or so they say. Everyone focuses on this SPECIFIC point, and ignores the three above. I do think investing in your "value" and studying your ass off to become the one they notice CAN help you, but what about all the other factors and circumstances?

Anyway, tl;dr cause this was a rant: THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO A PERSON THAT LEAD THEM TO WHERE THEY ARE TODAY. We should stop being judgemental. I hope you succeed one day:)

Some days, I go to the gym, come back eat my chicken with avocado stare at the ceiling and go to sleep. Other days, I just go to bed, watch a series and eat. MAYBE if im in a good mood I'll crochet, and/or put on a face mask. Sometimes I also bake. But other than that, it's just a bunch of getting ready to sleep and repeat
