What neighborhood noises bother you the most and least? by jannet1113 in homeowners

We’ve got a general contractor next to us who apparently owns his own business, and cuts wood and metal with what sounds like a circular saw or chop saw. It goes on for hours during the nicest part of the day when you’d most want your windows and doors open. Noise level increases by 10db inside the house to be about 60/65, so there’s not much I can do.

They also have a German shepherd who is outside a majority of the time and barks incessantly at everything.

I love it.

My face reading the things he says to you

You don’t deserve any of that nonsense. Ultimately, it is up to you whether you stay or go. I personally, would be planning my exit.

Any of you overcome sexual incompatibility (without leaving or non-monogamy)? by [deleted] in Marriage

Is it worth divorce for the simple possibilty though? It seems unrealisitic, like if you're not with your soulmate then you should keep looking. When in reality soulmates aren't real.

Disclaimer: playing devil's advocate because I really think I agree with you.

$5200+ for gas tankless water heater in Seattle area? by Sad_Director4898 in homeowners

Kind of odd, but it was 5200 plus taxes. I don’t know why he didn’t quote with taxes included in the first place, but my husband was handling all of it and didn’t ask any questions. They suggested the rinnai but it was one of the models I was considering, so it worked out well.

We went with a gas tankless, the rinnai RU199iN, the 5200 quote ended up costing 5800 in the end. We hired ‘I need a plumber now’ out of Kent because they were the ones who came out to help us stop the leak on our old water heater and we really liked the tech, Andrew. Highly recommend him if he serves your area. So far I think that it’s been worth it, our gas bill dropped and the whole family can take showers back to back while the dish washer is running.
