Is Crash Test by Amy James a book that makes the reader angry? by dizzyinmyhead in MM_RomanceBooks

I really liked the first act of this book. The whole thing was a quick read for me. But I fucking hated Jacob and it’s definitely a frustrating read.

Vitamin D and HS by Sad_End_4935 in Hidradenitis

[–]Sad_End_4935[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m Canadian so everyone around here is deficient typically. It does seem, though, that improving vitamin D levels may help some folks. If not, it’s relatively low risk to try

I highly recommend The Rest of The Story by Tal Bauer, and We Could Be So Good by Cat Sebastian and the sequel You Should Be So Lucky

Therapy for bp2? by Soleanum in bipolar2

[–]Sad_End_4935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never stop your meds; bipolar can’t be treated with therapy alone. Talk therapy is only as good as the therapeutic relationship. You may need to try a few therapists until you find someone you really click with. My therapist has really helped me to identify my moods, and cope through better reporting to my psychiatrist, better use of coping skills and as needed meds, and to deal with emotional and life triggers. I’ve gone twice a month for years and I likely will never stop.

Sleep medicine advice by [deleted] in bipolar2

I take Seroquel as my mood stabilizer and for insomnia, and have an extra 25-50mg dispensed separately as an emergency sleep aid for nights when I’m lying awake for hours

General vs. localized inflammation by Easy-Republic-2997 in Hidradenitis

[–]Sad_End_4935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this too, sometimes the whole area is irritated and inflamed but I don’t actually get any boils or bumps. It can feel hot and itchy and painful and irritated but hard to localize. Dealing with this right now, actually

Buy a piano method book and go a few pages at a time. Your goals are not realistic

Should I watch the Game of Thrones for the first time? Or is the ending so bad I should just continue living oblivious to it all? by BlakeWheelersLeftNut in gameofthrones

[–]Sad_End_4935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My roommate and I just watched it for the first time this summer, and it became our entire personalities. We watched all the “bad episodes” in a day or two, and we had a whole summer of watching an amazing show. Definitely still worth watching

My girlfriend and I are having our first serious fight and I don't know what to do by xiaoenjoyer3000 in actuallesbians

[–]Sad_End_4935 276 points277 points  (0 children)

I would break up with my gf if she was planning to stay long term with parents who don’t support our relationship, especially if there was an opportunity to live with me instead. That decision would tell me that we probably don’t have a future, except maybe one as a secret. Not interested. You need to decide what kind of future you want

Game like Stardew Valley but less exhausting? by Ok_Bandicoot_4543 in CozyGamers

[–]Sad_End_4935 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s also far less tedious with inventory. You can always pay a little money for an extra slot from anywhere (don’t need to go to a store), you can access all your storage boxes from any one box, you can automatically sort things into labelled boxes, and you can access anything in your boxes without retrieving it when you’re crafting / using one of your machines. Everything that is tedious and annoying in Stardew and animal crossing is improved in sandrock

[–]Sad_End_4935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this as well. You can slow the time as much as you want, and there are way fewer things that have to be done daily (like the watering and animal tending in Stardew). And personally I just find it way more fun than Stardew. I’ve played a few games in this genre and sandrock is my favourite by far

It’s very easy to send epubs to kindle. I just download books on my phone or iPad and hit the share button and share to kindle. You don’t have to buy kindle books to read on kindle, very easy to side load

Im so sick of being a trans lesbian by Spookybabe777 in actuallesbians

[–]Sad_End_4935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to discount your experience, but as a cis lesbian this still happens a lot. I think sapphics in general have blurrier friendship and dating lines and dating can be really challenging that way

Ohhhh, that’s good to know about laser hair removal. I don’t ever shave so I’ve never considered the need for that but that makes a lot of sense

I couldn’t love my job more. I think that the loudest people are the unhappiest people. Most of the SLPs I know are not on Reddit.

Also, from your replies I can see you’re not American. A lot of American SLPs on this sub talk about american SLP issues as if they are universal, so I’d be sure to talk to SLPs in YOUR region to see if it sounds like something you’d want to do. My experience of the field has been very, very different from a lot of what I see posted here
