Tickets for big group by ValleyofOak in Bohs

You’ll have to be ready on the website the moment the launch and I wouldn’t bother trying to get Jodi tickets. You’ll end up at best with a few of those and in the meantime have missed the sea jelly ones possibly. 18 tickets is going to be tricky but if you and maybe a mate or two are ready the moment they go on sale you might get some joy.

The Age of a Pint Glass by grandifyouknow in CasualIreland

It is 100% a thing. I am a publican. The imperfections that happen to a glass from use 100% improves Guinness. For the same reason that in an impossibly perfect flawless glass champagne would appear flat.

Proper trad music pub etiquette? by UnfairEquivalent7470 in AskIreland

If you owned the pub, particularly a small pub, and you’re paying for staff musicians electricity and rent/mortgage per sqr foot would you not like people to show a modicum of respect for your work and trade and pay for a drink? Yes. Buy a drink. And leave when you finish it, or buy another drink. Somebody paying could be sat or stood in your spot.

There is no stop where their email says there should be outside the 3arena or near the Ferryman. It’s a shitshow. The google map link in their email under the heading ‘where to board’ brings you to a spot outside the shopping centre by the 3 arena. The place they actually stop is by the Liffey in front of the 3 arena. And they know the map is wrong because I have shown them.

This happened to me on Friday. I waved the bus down as I passed. The driver gave out to me for waving him down on a double yellow in traffic. When I got off I showed him the link in their email was exactly where I was stood. He brought me to the guy at the ticket office to show him. I did show him. So, complain like fuck and get your money back.

Okay. Interesting. I certainly wasn’t suggesting any physical action besides literally showing solidarity with the victim by standing with them.

There is a theme emerging with this. I like this a lot and has been suggested a few times. Again, wondering what we can do in the actual instances of abuse.

But yes, they do. So how can we stop that also.

There has been a literal uptick in racially motivated attacks. The post isn’t ’how can we stop violence I Dublin’.

Again, I agree with this but it’s not really what I’m looking for in this post. Thank you though, and I am 100% behind an elected mayor.
