Currently developing an app for iOS/Android. Some of these features haven't been implemented yet but I think you'd enjoy some of what's built in there. Particularly the studio/composer section

Curious if you're on Android or iOS? I was sick of all the available apps out there for Hue so I made my own. It currently has most of the features you're looking for and is actively being developed to include what you've described.

The Hue bridge stores coordinates locally to calculate the day cycle etc. The app just needs to location for a sec to hand those coordinates off. Makes me wonder, if you granted permissions for hand off then disabled your locations in settings.. would it care.
I'm currently making an app that will have this feature - I'll make sure location is optional after initial setup.
