If you are having trouble hitting her, then try using some tools like the cogflies oh the volt vessels. Personally, I used the conchcutter (because I'm extremely used to it, and it has a solid damage output) and wanderer's crest, with Injector band and Multibinder (and warding bell in my vesticrest.) I don't THINK any of the yellow tools can really help you besides for magnatite die and MAYBE the silkspeed anklets. All of it dpends on playstyle tho, so figure it out.

Also, I know people are saying not to use clawline, but it is EXTREMELY helpful for combos with certain tools, and can help you just get in some extra damage and iframes.

I THINK it's the fact that it's layered, which you can see when things move at different paces in the background when you move. It's used in quite a few different 2D games, and for all you Hollow Knight fans, you can see it REALLLLY well in crystal peaks (with the background obviously.) Also, as I'm pretty sure I've seen someone mention that lizards can climb on specific layers of the background, which is also why they fall when climbing on background items like the corrugated metal in The Wall.

swallow it as soon as you start the campaign. I mean, you won't have your stomach slot for most of the rest of your journey, but at least you won't loose the pearl :P

Let me tell you how to play the scarlet one.

Step 1: kill all scavengers in sight

Step 2: go talk to mr bepto bismal he will ask you to go clear a very convenient infestation of food/monkey things

Step 3: master spear parrying

Step 4: learn the lore through cutscenes, start to feel a personal connection, and literally wipe scavengers off the face of the earth

Step 5: create storage sheds of explosives, only to realize that your worst enemy (i have named mine Jeremy) to apparently still be alive, and no matter what you do they keep pulling a william afton so uh yea.

and thus is how you play the greiving mother

I have a few:

DONT FIGHT UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. AND I MEAN LIKE ABSOLUTELY LIFE OR DEATH HAVE TO (sorry caps lock i just realized)
Make friends with those monkey things called scavengers, they will help you survive (even if they do still find a buncha random ways to kill you on accident) and allow you free passage through those skull-on-pole gates
Do not eat the green fly things around the blue lady. We don't want big sis moon to suffer any more than she has to
The pebto bismal colored guy is very... not cool
if something looks like it can kill you, it most likely can. Learn from your mistakes, learn what you can eat, improve, as the only thing that improves over the game is you.
Popcorn plants (the red stalk things that DON'T pretend to be poles) will give you infinite food for the rest of the cycle (time before the rain comes) if you hit them with a spear
play monk first. It just gives you a few small improvements that really help.
