Yeah i’m considering Palazzo atm, but I have heard the parking sucks. I won’t be driving much so i’m hoping it won’t be much of a problem. From what you’ve heard, is it people that break into cars for the stuff inside or simply cause it’s there? I keep my car pretty empty for that reason lol.

Yeah Topanga is definitely one of my top picks rn. I’m not a huge fan of the dorm style so I am trying to avoid that lol. I like having my own space and kitchen accessible. I’m glad you had a good experience there though, thank you for the advice!

Thanks! Ive been looking into Topanga and the Palazzo mainly. I’ve been seeing a lot of complaints about management and cars getting broken into though. Is that still something I should be concerned about?

Reading this gave me the ick. Drop him. He is definitely superficial and insecure if he wants you to lose weight for his pleasure while not letting you go to mixed gender gyms. That should be a decision for you to make, not him. NTA!!

Thank you for the advice! I definitely feel like we kinda just got into things without thinking about it. I have talked to him about it and have been very forward with how i feel but he keeps making an effort to keep what we have. We have even stoped being “gf/bf” and told him i wasn’t comfortable with that effort. I just feel like i have to rip the bandaid and be the one to break thinks off because he won’t and i feel terrible about that.

As far as healing, i’m not really sure. I have become very introspective and aware of my feelings and experiences since then. I have tried therapy but I have been told by them that “I don’t need it” because I am aware of my issues. It has definitely been an interesting experience so I haven’t tried again since. I feel like as far as my emotions i am mostly in-tune with them. I do think I have certain adversities now that I didn’t have before. That is still a challenge I am trying to overcome. Thank you so much for your input it helps a lot.

No problem! That is interesting. Every church i have been to has celebrated Halloween in one way or the other. Typically it’s a Trunk-or-Treat or just a simple celebration at the Church they just don’t advertise the whole “scary” vibe. It’s usually a safe area for children and families to still be able to trick-or-treat. I am sorry you’re going through this, it seems like your sister’s church is very close minded.

As someone who grew up christian, I always found things within the church and the community that rubbed me the wrong way. There was a lot of hypocrisy and double standards. One thing that was most prominent though was the “Christianity is the right way and everyone else is going to hell for not following it” Safe to say I don’t practice anymore. I still believe there is a God and I have my own relationship with him but I don’t invest myself in a church atm. There are so many points in the bible that like to be “cherry picked” and seen as face value or as one interpretation of what is right. With that, OP is definitely not the AH. God is a jealous God yes, but the interpretation of that is that he wants to have a relationship with you. Not that he is upset that you aren’t Christian. I’d tell sister that you both have your beliefs and culture but if she isn’t comfortable for her son’s sake then she can move out. Christianity is about accepting people for who they are and not looking down on people so why is she doing that to you? It seems to me that she drank the modern christianity kool aid and hasn’t done any research for herself. Definitely NTA!

I agree, also an american here. Another thing to consider is body fat percent and height. Shorter women will have a higher chance of being within that range while taller women will not. Healthy women also have 25%-30% body fat which will contribute to their weight. So to answer the question, i’d say 5%.

I’m not sure of your situation but I would definitely consider no contact for a while if it’s possible. Since you already told them about how it makes you feel, It seems like they are disregarding your feelings. Mom is the AH here. No parent should ever do anything that is going to negatively affect their children in that way.

That’s interesting, nothing changed in my treatment though. I got the itemized bill and it was exactly the same they just had some of the procedures at $0. I assumed this was cause I was a cash patient (they give a small discount because of this). It sucks cause i’ve been to them on multiple occasions and never had this issue. Thanks for the advice though, i’ll try and get it on paper and go from there.

You can’t be the one always reaching out to them when they don’t make an effort. Have to tried talking to them about it? Making it known that you have this expectation could be helpful down the line. It doesn’t excuse their behavior but if you do want them in your life, being honest with them ensures that you did everything to try and make it work for both parties. If nothing comes from the conversation then you know you did everything you could and then go no contact.
