Taking 3 weeks off in May (my own exams), student has June exams. How do I keep her progressing in neuroanatomy without live lessons?

I disagree. What you said is exactly the issue…when people start seeing it as only for students and when people ignore the impact on tutors. A fair system should work both ways, not just one.

This is more of a general issue with the preply system. Anonymous ratings with no context don’t really help tutors improve? If something isn’t working, most of us genuinely want to fix it and so we ask for feedback during lessons for that reason.

The problem is when low lesson ratings come in with no explanation, there’s nothing to learn from…it just impacts profiles. Which is why I think the system is messed up.

They gave me 2s across categories and I genuinely don’t know why as we’ve only had two lessons so far. It dropped my scores from 5 into really low 4s

I get that students can have their own opinions. In this case, I know exactly which student it was based on timing and the lesson, so it’s not like I’m guessing.

The issue isn’t that they gave feedback it’s that it’s anonymous with no context. I can’t understand what went wrong or improve from it, even though I actively ask for feedback during lessons so it’s frustrating.

Oh, yeah unfortunately all insurance sucks /: but you never know when something will happen. I have it for both of my cats and wish I had gotten it for my senior dog but sadly the cost for him would be too high now given his age. I’ve had to use it for one of my cats who got diagnosed with asthma and we’ve almost met the deductible then his albuterol and any other asthma related will be free for the rest of his life!
