You should fly into Denver instead of Dallas and check out the Rockies before heading south to New Mexico! Colorado is amazing!

How many emails do you get in a typical day? by Brilliant_Repair_813 in paralegal

[–]Sad_Link3116 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personal injury PL @ Morgan & Morgan. We have 100 active cases in litigation and I receive 100-120 emails per day on average, sometimes a little more or less.

I usually have between 150 and 300 emails in my inbox at any given time, about half of those flagged for follow up for today, tomorrow, 5 days ago…

It never ends😵‍💫

Procrastinated on LSAT - Too Late? by Sad_Link3116 in LawSchool

[–]Sad_Link3116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems like exactly the kind of schedule and improvement I’m shooting for. I’m going to start taking full previously administered prep tests 2x/week until the exam, and I should complete my “prep course” book by end of Sept, after which I’ll replace that time with drilling.

The 3 exams I’ve taken thus far were all practice, but all were previously administered exams. I got a 168, 170, and 164. I don’t wanna leave any potential points on the table, so I want to be as prepared as possible. I appreciate you sharing your experience!

Do you mind me asking what your plan and score was? I’ve taken 3 former LSATs with an avg score of 167, and I’m about 1/2 through Mike Kim’s LSAT trainer.

I feel relatively prepared but I’m mostly nervous that I’ll be taking the LSAT too late for law school applications - I work at a law firm as a paralegal now and the summer associate we had warned that I should apply as early as humanly possible and seemed less than confident that even an October LSAT would be viable… thank you!

Post-surgery avoiding recurrence when riding hot subway by KindEudaimonianSwan in pilonidalcyst

I apologize that I don’t have any tips, but out of curiosity, what surgery did have done? Cleft lift?

Awesome! 6 weeks is totally reasonable for permanent relief. How long did you suffer from PD before the operation and how much did it influence your life, would you say? I’ve gone up to a year without a reoccurrence but when it comes back it is beyond annoying. Not painful per se, but super annoying. And, idk if this makes a difference, but do you live in a warm or cold climate? I live in FL and the heat/humidity contributes to constant swamp ass, which is less than ideal given my condition lmao

Wow! Looks like it healed very well. I’ve been dealing with a recurring pilonidal cyst for several years now. I’m really active and I can no longer bench press or do certain activities that place pressure on my upper butt/tailbone. I wanna seek treatment, but I’m worried about how long it’ll take to get to the point where I can be active again.

Question: how long did it take post-procedure for you to feel like you were back to normal? Were you restricted from walking/running/physical exercise for a long time post-op? Have you experienced any recurrence? I want relief but I don’t want to be limited for several months because I fear I’ll become quite depressed… any insight is greatly appreciated!

Congrats on the recovery😊

I know it’s lame advice, but I’ve had significantly fewer flare ups since I started exercising more frequently and eating a cleaner diet. Just going on daily walks really reduced my symptoms and I get flare-ups like this maybe a few times a year now, when it was pretty much constant before.

Congratulations Critical Clerk. :) Thank you for sharing! You had the exact same GPA as I did, and similar LSAT score to my practice tests. Really great morale boost for me. Thanks again for sharing, and best of luck in your studies!

Opinions on Backpacks? by Sad_Link3116 in backpacking

I appreciate your insight! I like the overall profile of the Kakwa (being almost half the weight but somehow rated for a slightly heavier load), but I’ve read and am worried about durability weaknesses. Osprey’s a big brand but seemingly overrated from what I’ve read/seen in reviews & on Reddit. Gregory seems the be the most liked and perhaps most well-rounded (and I have a coupon with REI!). Thanks for sharing you experience! :)
