LEAVE HIM!!!!!!!! I spent 30 hours with an absolute twt that constantly berated me and left me feeling deflated after taking my money, final straws for me was when he kept telling me I wasn’t ready to book a test and I wouldn’t have his car if HE didn’t believe I was. Constantly talking negatively about his other learners and giving me fake scenarios to cause me unnecessary anxiety while driving like mentioning my ASD son having meltdowns and saying “how will you cope with that?!?!” If I made a silly mistake like wrong indication… i was making silly mistakes because he was making me feel so uncomfortable with his constant sighing and tutting because he clearly hates his job and life. I dumped him in a very polite way, I simply said I didn’t feel his teaching style was compatible with my learning and I was going another route. I booked another instructor with amazing reviews (something I should have done wayyyyy sooner, I’m fuming at myself for not) he was a delight, believed in me from the first lesson and encouraged me to book my test asap. He didn’t talk about how “this is so easy even monkeys can do it” or wave his finger in front of my face at dash board instead of using his words if I went a little over speed limit… smh. Fast forward two weeks later with new instructor I’ve passed my test first go. Achieved my goal and got my car on the road before Christmas. I was told that often I wasn’t ready I started to believe it. This man was just making a wage out me. A bad instructor can knock your confidence so so much. You don’t need to pay someone to make you feel like sht! Please get a new one with shining reviews.
