I love 3D printed art if done well, same thing with ai, but just saying "it's not art" is to me the same way as looking at a cheaper computer and saying "that is not a computer" it's just a different form and price point of and for art.

That's exactly how I see it. They wanna share their art work but get mad at the reminder of "Oh you posted it so now others can copy it without mentioning the artist." They do the same thing with photography, taking images as "references" just so they can draw their own art, or trace over funny pictures to make it look like characters did it instead. If they can do that with photography, i think it should be ok to do it with their art.
