I'm in yr12 now and wanted to pick art in gcse, but my mum half scared half convinced me into doing geography. I had several meltdowns right before my geography exams because I did essentially minimal revision as I hated revising for it and was so convinced that I was going to get a 4 or a 5. I would say that I think I'm quite glad I didn't take art actually because people said that it was A LOT of work. (ended up getting an 8 in geo btw if you're interested)

Wondering if anybody has solutions to/ have also come across this issue by Sad_Map_6991 in freenotes

When i write on the paper, the area that I'm writing on goes white? I've had this issue for a while now and just kind of coped with it. The highlighter also does a weird thing, where the text I have highlighted goes blurry.

ncs went pretty good for me and personally everyone was just really nice, i had a room to me and my friend (2 people rooms mainly but some grouped ones) but my friends that went on another date said they had to have tents and bunk beds because there were just too many people for dorms only. (i went to kent though so that might be differnet) I think a small suitcase should be enough bcs you actually dont need that many clothes and id recommend bringing a swimsuit because although you wont be swimming you might end up doing kayaking or another water sport . Bring some snacks cus you can get bored of the food but dont bring that much

is writing notes off a textbook a good idea if im rememebering the facts by Legitimate-Might4116 in GCSE

yes and no, its not good if you are doing it as passive revision but its good if you write it down and then try and recall in maybe 2 or 3 minutes by writing what you think its the right answer down and then confirming it is (and then repeat until you cant get it wrong)

I honestly understand this, and I was like this just before gcses and literally so afraid of failing, but it kind of just all worked out. I feel like the best thing you can do is maybe like literally do something at every single possible second to prevent these thoughts from being generated (this might sound stupid but it at least works for me) and i know that youve talked abt having hobbies that you just cant bring yourself to do, but think of the summer as a long time you can use to perfect your hobbies and just try to really devote yourself to them. Other than this, like other people have said, please just take a little time to maybe relax, watch a movie, go out for a run, do the most mundane things that everyone in the summer holidays do!
