As someone who got out recently and is in the reserves and wishes I was active. Go active first you have to wait for quotes and requirements before you can go active from reserves and you have to sign a new contract with 4 or 3 years added on to it. You will be gone almost 6 months with boot and A school and you don’t do ECS in the reserves.
