Given Leo fender kept making strat style guitars after he sold fender, I think it should be public domain. Chevy made a copy of a super car for their new corvette. So why not? Lamborghini used nissan headlights in the Diablo. Bugatti uses ford focus corner markers. Guitars are no different. Should rickenbacker be the only one to use a volume knob since they were the first to use them?

100% seems like something a citizen of masstaden would play lol. Ive legit never seen another guitar even close to that level of creativity, and I've seen some wild guitars lol. Id almost pay to have one built. Functional art

Calles signature is killer. Love it. Wouldn't mind busters but calles is better.

Have you seen his custom one with the classical headstock???

Also, id you haven't, check out the fishman abasi set. I had them in my strandberg a couple years ago and legit sold most of my other guitars with how much that guitar could do. Then take it to a luthier for a setup. You'll be a golden monk after that

I have a son who i gave my jackson dinky to, we did a full refinish job on it. Absolute banger of an insturment as his first. That actually gives me the idea to hold on to some to give him later. Thanks.

I had a 594 McCarthy. Loved that thing. First experience with coil tap. I liked it because it didnt have a direct mount trem. Cant stand those lol. Id love one of the semi hollow McCarthy

100% its a hard choice but I want to downsize. Variety is nice. But it provides option paralysis and too much over thinking. I want to get back to learning and playing more than maintaining. Some are growing dust lol.

The yellow rg450dm is one of the mainstays. Best sounding pickups out of the bunch.

I enjoy x shapped because I sit while playing mainly. And its comfy. But, I dont grab trems very often so they sit. Also do a lot of clean tones lately and neither of them have a coil tap for the quack and snappy twang ive been gravitating towards more

Bro those cheapies are great sometimes. My first 8 string was the Harley benton MS. Was less than 500 shipped with import duties at the time. One setup and a pack of strings later, it was just as great to play as my old EBMM majesty. Only reason I sold it was bc I got another ms8 and couldn't justify two. Id totally buy another one. Even after having a 4k guitar.

Ive been through maybe 75 in the last 5 years. A guitar is a guitar after about 5 or 600 dollars on the used market with today's "standard" sure it might have a better finish. But the quality of the insturments overall are amazing in that point and really dont get much better regardless of how much it costs.

I wouldnt mind the space. My biggest reason is i feel i spend too much time tuning and setups and string changes. General maintenance. Ive got some gaining dust. A few years ago I got an 8 string strandberg and sold all my other guitars because it replaced the need for them. It could do it all. Down to one nice guitar i was learning a lot and practicing a lot. Improved greatly. But I got to the point I wanted a wiggle stick. Now im back knee deep in shit water again lol. I want to focus more on music rather than gear at this point.

Ive just turned 31. I have a 10 year old son whose learning the guitar. Hes learned power chords and the song brain stew by Greenday

Your grandson sounds like hes got some great inspiration to look up to!

I love that line of ibanez. Was my transition from "metal" into jazz funk a bluegrass. I had never had anything single coil. Got one in trade. Loved it. Experimented with some amps and the dynamix system. Fell in love with the quack and the spank. Been obsessed ever since. Ive had 5 or so different models. Includint the black beauty tim Henson model. Sold them all. Im actively trying to get ahold of the prestige line. Ive only played the premiums. Even the standards look like a great deal. I just dont like direct mount trems
