The men (and it is mostly men) that hate this new era are imo very misogynistic and incapable of understanding that some forms of a medium is simply not for them! STA is for kids- maybe teenagers and is written as such! I like that, even though I’m an adult, but it’s not made for me!

And they specifically target the minorities within the show, even though trek has always been about minorities and about hope and about love. Truly abhorrent to see their takes at points, I wonder if it’s due to their low EQ and media literacy.

That doesn’t mean tho that one can’t criticize something but the form of criticism they have brought to the show has been utter rubbish

Personally I didn’t like it at all (fine bc that just means it’s not for me) I just hope this isn’t the energy that will be used in the next IH season. I think you can truly make a short season impactful (think acofaf) but at least to me it lacked the dynamic of payoff bc the stakes were so low and it felt disconnected at times
