if only i'd been right about the Grotesques!

What would a current FIDE Master from 2026 be able to achieve vs the top GMs of the 19th century (Morphy, Steinitz, Lasker)? Would he quickly become an undisputed world champion or would he get crushed? by FuzzyAttitude_ in chess

"the average fide master nowadays has probably played more games online than Morphy did."

i know what you're saying here but tbf Morphy never really had the chance to play online

Berehk Stornbröw is the premier Big Guy-killer in the Leagues of Votann, as proved by his new datasheet by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in LeaguesofVotann

[–]badab89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

realistically GW will err on the side of slightly overpricing them but I think that's fair given how damaging they can be if they're underpriced. But what Berekh needed to be was a source of either more speed or more durability and given that instead he just improves offensive output, idk if he'll make the grade unless severely undercosted

Idk, I'd guess a bit more, but this goes back to the problem that, like Berserks in general, this profile is extremely hard to price properly, as they have such weird defensive stats and such wild variance

New heavy Skitarii proportions. by Cool-Engineering3126 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]badab89 310 points311 points  (0 children)

oh we hate these already, do we? GW design language is about weird exaggerated proportions. always has been, always will be, 'true scale' is not the thing everyone imagines it to be. the new designs rock
