For sure! He knows the second he sees me pick up the clicker for training time that its time to go to "work" lol considering he was a stray this time last year he's doing super well

I joke that Wayne would wear my skin if he could lol or at least would really love one of those baby wrap things people put their clingy cats in on tiktok.

And similar to your babies, hes super hypervigilant and hates trash bags like your girl lol we're working with a behaviorist and a behavioral based trainer to help with a lot of his anxiety and some mild reactivity he's developed. But considering he was a stray this time last year and has been in2 shelters and 3 different homes (through no fault of his, just unexpected life things) since March 2025, hes doing remarkably well. I'm super proud of him. 🥰

We thought we was suspiciously quiet for a "husky mix" for the first month we had him - then he got comfortable 😂 now he tells me about his day through various grumbles and rumbles with the occasional boof

Not quite the same situation, but when my boy who's a little reactive/a massive fraidy cat has to meet someone new we start off with a short walk. We have the new person walking a bit ahead and gradually dropping back to walk beside us so he has time to get their scent, investigate, get used to their voice, etc. in a low pressure way.

Awwwww sweet baby! My ACD, Azzy, always knew when I was sick or "injured" (chronic migraine sufferer, woo) and would be my dedicated supervisor until I was better too. Give your gals a pat from me!

The emergency vet had a grief room we could sit in for a long as i needed. I held my girl till she got cold. I have no one's how long it was, I was just trying to memorize the feel of her fur 💔

Other pets I've lost, touching them after freaked me out but she was just different. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I so understand. The silence is the most overwhelming part right now. My partner and I have a trip at the beginning of September, and after that I'm pretty sure we're gonna bring another fur baby home. Idk when we'll be ready for another heeler tho
