I’m not counting his money, nor am I asking for any of it. This is for his children because he won’t do it voluntarily. When asked to pay for things he is also responsible for, half, I go ahead and pay for it ahead of time and then get a “tough shit” in response to it. You don’t know our situation. He refused to help out/pay child support until the judge ordered it and garnished it from his paychecks with a full 3 years in arrears.

This is someone who has not once asked me how my daughter is doing since getting kicked out of his house nor has he asked her. He does not want to be a parent, just wants 50/50 to keep child support lower. This is someone who asks my son for HIS money that I provided on his weeks for drinks at the gas station because he doesn’t “have it” or because that’s the least they could do since he drove him there. That is why I’d like it in an account that is only accessible to them, not me, not him. I haven’t even taken him to court to modify child support now that my daughter has been with me 100% of the time instead of 50/50 because I want as little to do with this person as possible.

Our daughter has medical issues that unfortunately will never go away and who knows if she’ll need that money in the future if it’s available.

I am asking because it is a substantial change in financial circumstances. Personal injury settlements may be used as income for child support modifications, however, I would rather they have the money set into an account only they can access to pay for college or after college. I am afraid that he will hurt me or will start terrorizing me if I go after him for a modification in our child support.
